Paris honeymoon - help

I know its not a hotel recommendation but we took a 2cv tour round Paris. Even though it was December when we went we had the roof down with a blanket on our knee. The tour guide was fantastic. I'd thoroughly recommend it (google - 2cv Paris tour). As for hotels we went in May and stayed at the Philip Starck 'Mama Shelter'. Not to everyones taste but the area (20th) was close to different Metro's and we really liked it. Not expensive in terms of Paris hotels either.0

I stayed with my husband at the Platine Hotel last week. It's a lovely little hotel with Marilyn Monroe themed rooms. Ours had a round bed! It has a spa with a Turkish steam bath and sauna (which I never used
) and the option to have a slightly expensive massage or treatment. I thought at the time it would be a good hotel to have a honeymoon in!
It was not quite a 10 minute walk to the Eiffel Tour, and there is a shopping area and cinema across the road. http://www.platinehotel.fr/en/
It's not the cheapest of hotels, but I think it was worth the price! If you can book using a cashback site, you will get a little of your money back at least!
Good luck to you, and congratulations!Swagbucks Amazon gift vouchers 2014 125/250

We went to Paris last year on the way to travelling down to the South of France. It meant we got both a lovely energetic city break and relaxed sunny beach holiday in one trip.
We booked a cab to St Pancras and booked the Eurostar to Paris. Then did some research and booked a pretty hotel on the outskirts of Paris, and then got the Metro there. It wouldn't occur to me to use a travel agent for a city break, or most of my holidays to be honest. The hotel was Hotel De La Porte Doree, and it was a bit further to travel to the sights than I would have liked but the hotel was charming, friendly and had a nice little bathroom. Plus there was a bakery opposite that did almond croissants to die for.Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!0 -
