    Morning diaryland!

Sorry for being quiet over the weekend but I did have my MSE head on! Had a haircut at my local hairdresser so only £15.75 (which is more than the usual girl I have but she's on maternity leave). Other than that only spent £9.04! However OH annoyed me as we were meant to go blind shopping and he couldn't be bothered! He's promised me this weekend now and if not I will throw myself on the floor and have a paddy! We currently don't have any blinds/curtains and now it's lighter in the morning its starting to affect my sleep. But I did actually manage to have a good night sleep last night and even danced round the bedroom to celebrate!

I do need to get some decent trainers as went for a long walk with the pooch on Saturday and my feet really hurt as don't really have decent walking trainers. So I'll be on the look out for some I like and OH has said he'll pay!

Need to pay some money off the CC today! Need to work out exactly how much but hopefully about £150! Really cant wait until the Bcard is gone and then I'm only down to one debt (well apart from my parents which will be gone next month!)

Nothing else to report! Hope you're all well - must go catch up on some diaries!
    Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89
    Current debt - £5,555.00
Total paid off - £10,045.89 (64% paid off)

So just paid £141.23 off the Bcard CC. This means:-

    * I've paid over £5,000 off my debts since I started my journey!!! (although total debt hasn't decreased by over £5k yet but nearly there!)
    * Total CC debt is under £5,000!!!
    * I've paid off over £3,000 so far this year!!!

    Well done me! :j
Also, with a quick tweak of my spreadsheet for next month (payday Friday!) I can clear the Bcard this month!!! :j

Today has been a GREAT day!

Best friend of 23 years had her twelve week scan today and everything looks fine! :j:j:j:j

Also it's Friday and it's payday! Paid off the rest of the interest incurring CC, so just the amount I transferred to an interest free CC and one more payment to my parents left! It also means I've cleared over half my debt in just over 6 months! GO ME! :j Apparently I will now be debt free in February next year (it started at July next year) but we'll see what we can do about that!

However I have been a grumpy cow recently, not sure why but I haven't been sleeping well so that's not been helping matters. But I went to Zumba last night and came out in a great mood and then drove home with old music blasting out having a good sing song! :jI am aching a bit today though - serves me right for not going in ages!

Off to see friends tonight - going round a friends for a takeaway so shouldn't spend too much. Can't wait to see everyone's reactions when they found out my friend is growing a baby! Then (fingers crossed) actually going blind shopping tomorrow! I WILL be throwing myself on the floor kicking and screaming if OH says he cant be bothered!!! Hoping they will solve my sleeping problem as we currently have no curtains or blinds!

Wishing diaryland and all who may stumble upon my ramblings a great weekend!
    :j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j

EDIT: This post had far too few smilies for the mood I'm in!!!!

    Afternoon diaryland!

Had a lovely evening on Friday with my friends and only spent £4 which is a plus! And then on Saturday no tantrums were required as we've finally ordered blinds for the 3 bedrooms and kitchen - only problem is it will be 3-4 weeks before they're fitted! Next job is to get fitted wardrobes as we have no where to hang everything! Popped into a place on my lunch break and fell in love with one of the ones on display - £2300!!! However the guy did say that it is the top end of what they sell - why do I have to have expensive taste! Best get saving! By then end of the year my aim is have everything done except the living room, so need to pull my finger out (and find some money!) However now the interest incurring debt is gone I feel like the pressure is off a bit, although I still want to get the rest gone as soon as possible!

I bought some new bras (needed some as broke my last 2 in one day but have had them years) and some new jeans. However, despite having the money aside for the jeans I feel guilty! So might take them back yet. I've just got so used to not really spending money on myself that it feels wrong!

Really need to start thinking about my mum's birthday too, as she will be 60 in June and want to book a spa day. Was thinking maybe hotel too but that might be outside of my budget. Just really want to spoil her!

Hi Twiggy, just stopping by to see how everyones getting on. Glad you have got the blinds ordered, fingers crossed they help you with your recent lack of sleep.

I desperately need some new clothes, I keep buying the odd thing here and there in Primarc but they are just rubbish. I have no 'nice' clothes, but no budget for a splurge. I found some photos on facebook of the last time I went on holiday to cornwall, in 2009 with my ex and his family, I was wearing the exact same jumper as I had on on the photos! So I'm wearing things that I've had for at least 6 years! That is one of my 'good jumpers' too! :rotfl:

Wow - I haven't posted in far too long! Been super busy at work!

I can't say that much interesting has happened since I last popped by! I think the most exciting thing was getting £11 worth of chicken for free as the lady somehow didn't scan it! I feel like I haven't made much debt busting progress this month as haven't made many overpayments. But only a week and a half until my parents are paid off! (Early pay day because of the bank holiday). However I went to see them on Friday and they said how did I feel about them paying for fitted wardrobes and me continuing to pay them back £80 a month as I have been doing! I said no but OH thinks I should say yes and parents were quite confused that I flatly turned them down! We do desperately need the storage as I only have a clothes rail which does make our bedroom look messy but I would rather do it ourselves.

Another good result I got was a postal order for £3 following a complaint I made about a bottle of pop being flat! :rotfl:

I looked after my boss' dogs this weekend and babysitting her kids on Tuesday night so at least that's a few extra pennies on pay day!

I'm debating entering tough mudder with my cousin (well she's doing it so I'll just be tagging onto her group)! It falls the day after my birthday and the day before my OH's birthday so I will check he doesn't mind postponing birthday celebrations for a week. And I might ask my parents to pay as an early birthday present as it will fall near my birthday. Luckily my birthday isn't until September so I have time to get fit and build up my twiglet arms! :rotfl:

I really must get on and sort my mum's birthday present out for next month! I have failed slightly in my budgeting so don't have enough until after payday so may put it on my CC () and pay it off on payday. Annoyingly package I was going to book isn't available from the day I want to do it (day after her birthday) until September! Maybe I'll speak to my dad and see if he minds me taking her off for the day on her birthday!

I promise not to leave it so long next time diaryland!
