Better nights sleep last night - thank god!

Yes I do need to have a sort through and sell some! Wish I could sell on my own ebay but cant thanks to my darling OH! Will speak to my best friend as she did say before that I could use hers. I know she's just sold some bits so will wait until all her fees etc are paid so I know what's mine.

Bridesmaid dress is long, gold and covered in sequins! It is actually lovely (nice than it sounds!) Only problem is that it's slightly too short for one bridesmaid so need to check if it can be added to - they're just standard shop bought so cant get in a longer length. However there's some being chopped off the bottom of mine! :rotfl:

Popping to the bank later to pay in £40 so that can go off CC! My aim is by the end of May to have my parents and interest incurring CC paid off. So that's £642.22 (or £602.22 after I've paid in the £40) to pay off between now and then. Must do my budgets but, based on my history, that is doable! Then it will just be one debt left (ok its the biggy!) - which will be a good milestone!
    Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89
    Current debt - £5,555.00
Total paid off - £10,045.89 (64% paid off)

I think you are making great headway on the debts

now I am nosy so why cant you use your ebay account and would it not be possible to set up a new one?

the dresses sound nice actually I love the gold colour - and it can be so hard to find something to suit several people and that is one colour that often does

today is really nice here hope you can enjoy some time in the sunshine

Glad you had a better nights sleep. I think bridesmaid dresses always look better on, especially when you line them all up together. I hated mine for my friends wedding, but when we all stood together it looked nice(r)!

You've made such good headway on the debts it would be amazing to get to your target at the end of May, definitely get eBaying when you can.

I have even more stuff to sell now we've moved, we've had a good sort out. Must get onto it but we still don't have any Internet.

    Morning!

Thanks for your kind words - nice to wake up to!

My *darling* OH used my ebay and managed to remove my selling rights due to some disputes. I then set up another one but because it used the same paypal they clocked on. So if I wanted to set up another one I'd have to set up a new email address, ebay and paypal account! And then I'm worried they'd pick up on the address so haven't bothered.

Gorgeous day here although I woke up about 6 and it was really foggy outside (we don't have curtains/blinds - another thing we need to buy when we have some money!) Hopefully I'll manage to get outside on my lunch break and enjoy it!

Lodger has said he'd like to stay here until the end of the week and then come here most weekends (he's living in Eastbourne at the moment) so that will bring in a little bit extra each week without having him here full time.

Right best get my bum moving and get ready for work - it's really going to hit me when the kids go back to school and I have to leave earlier again!

As for ebay write to them explain situation and ask if as your circumstances have changed (they don't need to know they haven't) when are they likely to reinstate selling rights and what can you do to speed the process as you really need to sell some personal items
Nothing to lose really by asking

As for the lodger sounds like the best of both worlds to me :)

Hope you are having a great day

Morning! I've tried and failed with that tact with ebay! Loving my lodger last night - pulled onto the drive and thought some sods having a bbc, turned out it was him cooking bbq for dinner! Had a small set back with selling my CDs in that I can't find some of the CDs! Going to the parents tonight so I'll see if I can find them there! Otherwise I'll need to scrap my webuybooks order and start again!

I'll be back later as another month have passed so I need to do my monthly total update - can't believe its been 7 months!

So my signature as at 16 March (month 6 anniversary - not 7 months!) was as follows:-

    LBM 16.10.14 - CC - £6,652.68 - now £5,730.91
    OD - £480.52 - now £0 :j Next - £436.48 - now £0 :j
    Beds - £1,667.00 - now £0 :j Parents - £626.96 - now £226.96
    TOTAL - £9,863.64 - now £5,957.87
    £1,000 EF #31 - £100/£1,000 Pay off by xmas 2015 #49 £2,224.79/£5,000

My signature as of today is:-

    LBM 16.10.14 - CC - £6,652.68 - now £5,098.26
    OD - £480.52 - now £0 :j Next - £436.48 - now £0 :j
    Beds - £1,667.00 - now £0 :j Parents - £626.96 - now £146.96
    TOTAL - £9,863.64 - now £5,245.22
    £1,000 EF #31 - £110/£1,000 Pay off by xmas 2015 #49 £2,937.70/£5,000

Meaning I've paid £712.65 off my total debts this month! :j
    That breaks down as:
    Credit card - £632.65
    Parents - £80

Pretty impressed with that - however as always I wish it was more! You just can't please some people!

I would have liked to have hit the half way point by now, but in 6 months I've cleared £4,618.42 worth of debt and have actually paid £4,974.48. This works out that I've cleared on average £769.77 a month for the last 6 months, which is actually pretty impressive as I'm not on great money! Plus this is actually £829.08 once you take into account interest. Plus in this time I've paid £130 for the villa for one of next year's hen dos!

More importantly I've also put money aside for future bills like car and home insurance etc so currently have £320 set aside for different things. Problem is I keep adding pots! For example I did have a xmas/birthdays pot but I think I need to split this so that there is money actually set aside at xmas and it doesn't all get used up for birthdays during the year!

So overall the last 6 months have taught me a lot about money and how to budget which I'm very pleased with. I've halved what I was spending on food as well! Just shows what you can do when you set your mind to something and don't just fritter it away!

Right - enough ramblings! Have a good day diaryland!
