Hi diary - sorry for abandoning you over the weekend!
Had a good weekend! Quiet night in with the pooch on Friday as OH went out on his works xmas do. Won a free blow dry at a VERY posh salon (think concierge on the door!) which I had Saturday so had very glamorous hair when I went to meet my friends for our girlie xmas shindig! Had lunch at my friends, then went to xmas market for a few mulled wines. Got the bus home which meant I spent the grand total of £12.70! For me, even knowing how much I spent exactly is amazing! Go me!
Yesterday was a quiet day at home and then had some friends round for dinner and played on the Wii.
So overall spent very little money all weekend - under £20! And I friend gave me a Mr T 59p off your next shop coupon as she was given it but rarely shops in there.
Parents came round yesterday and gave me a Christmassy tablecloth as it doesn't fit their table - got to love a freebie!
Very hard getting out of bed this morning as OH has finished for xmas now! However I'm hoping that he'll be a busy bee around the house and finish the tidying and it would be amazing if he'd actually do his xmas shopping!
Just a couple of bits to get foodwise before xmas, such as cream which would have gone out of date before xmas as I did my big shop last weekend. Need to make the most of free pizzas before I finish work for xmas as I don't have a printer. Question - do I use all the £1 and so get pizza for 50p whilst they're still on offer? Offer runs out end of this month and the coupons run out in Jan so I doubt they'll get reduced again before they expire.
Pay day tomorrow! And just realised I've past the 2 month since my LBM but didn't copy my signature so I can track my journey! I'll do that now as I think I've only paid off £70 between 16 Dec and now! Naughty me forgetting and it's only month 2!
:xmassign:Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89
Current debt - £5,935.00
Total paid off - £9,665.89 (61% paid off)0 -
So my signature as at 16 November (my one month LBM) was as follows:-
LBM 16.10.14
CC - at LBM £6,652.68 - now £6,290.35 OD - at LMB £480.52 - now £475.01
Next - at LMB £436.48 - now £203.33 Beds - at LBM £1,667.00 - now £1,450.00
Parents - at LMB £626.96 - now £546.96
TOTAL - at LMB £9,863.64 - now £8,966.15
Nov £5 per day #18 - £118.26/£150 £1,000 EF #31 - £39.14/£1,000
Signature today is:-
LBM 16.10.14 - CC - £6,652.68 - now £6,081.23
OD - £480.52 - now £410.54 Next - £436.48 - now £140.67
Beds - £1,667.00 - now £1,070.00 Parents - £626.96 - now £466.96
TOTAL - £9,863.64 - now £8,169.40
£5per day - Nov £219.53/£150, Dec £163.18/£155
£1,000 EF #31 - £59.14/£1,000 Pay off by xmas 2015 #49 £5/£5,000
Meaning I've paid £796.25 off my total debts this month! So why am I disappointed?! Last month I managed £897.49 which is incredible so I'm trying to stay positive that nearly £800 is still amazing - particularly in the lead up to xmas! And in total that's £1,693.74 in two months (ok slightly over as I'm late in posting this months total!)
That breaks down as:
Credit card - £209.12
OD - £64.47
Next - £62.66
Beds - £380
Parents - £80
I will be paying off less this month now that I don't have the lodger's money coming in - update he has said he will be "down" after new year now. So really don't think he'll be back to live and will stay with his sister.
My budget is telling me I'll be paying off £399 tomorrow - so hoping I'll be able to womble some money away throughout the month.
Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89

Thank you all for your comments and encouragement! :xmassign:
I just had to do another post - I love the looks I get when using coupons! I just bought 3 pizzas (£1.50 each - £4.50 total) using a £1.50 coupon, 2x £1 coupon and two receipts with 11p and 59p off next shops - so 30p for 3 pizzas! But the look the cashier gave me was rather amusing, particularly when I still handed over my clubcard! Another guy on Friday served me at lunch when I got a free pizza and again after work when I got another - he seemed to think I was mad! And made a comment about aren't I sick of pizza! Well of course I'm not eating them all as I buy them!
Don't other people want free food?!?!?Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89

Yay its PAYDAY!
So today I've paid off the following:-
£167.65 off CC
£10 off OD
£190 off beds
£80 off parents
TOTAL £447.65
Haven't paid anything extra off Next this month - will try and sneak an extra payment in at some point. DD will take £13.20 later in the month but I had said I wanted it cleared by Feb and still would really like to do that even though OD has become more of a priority.
Leaving my current total debt at £7,721.75 (takes a moment to digest that debts sub £8k :j)- meaning I've paid off £2,141.89 (well actually £2,283.88 but that includes the interest added) since 16 October!
I also want to take a moment to appreciate that:-
* The CC is under £6k! :j
* The beds are under £1,000! :j
I've also added the following to my pots:-
Petrol - £100
Car expenses - £10 (Total - £30)
Insurances - £10 (Total - £30)
Holiday - £10 (Total - £30)
Clothes - £10 (Total - £27.01)
Hair cuts - £10 (Total - £20)
Hen dos/weddings - £10 (Total - £40)
Birthdays/Xmas - £10 (Total - £10)
House renovation - £20 (Total - £209.18 - but OH borrowed £50)
Emergency fund - £20 (Total - £79.14)
I have £200 to last me the month - but as we have our own place this year I'm going to encourage people to come to us as much as possible to avoid drinks out and taxis!

Hi Twiggy
Can I ask....when you out your money into pots for holidays, haircuts etc- do you withdraw cash or do you have lots of different bank accounts?
I'm trying to work out what pots system to do for 2015!
