Thanks Monz, but....
Grrrr! Apparently my interest free OD now charges me 75p per day for being overdrawn! So as I hadn't realised (pre LBM of not reading letters) I've now been charged £24.75! I know I incurred charges last month but presumed these were due to going over my OD! This means my OD is now worse than at my LBM by £15.28!
Also these fees go up to 11 November - meaning I'm due to incur another approx. £17.25 worth of fees for the days between then and now!!!
I've had this bank for years, and probably been in my OD for years too, and they haven't charged me fees before! I know its my fault for not reading letters but I'm so annoyed at them and annoyed at myself that I hadn't realised! I'd intentionally been saving money in a different account rather than the OD so that I could clearly see how overdrawn I was.
I've gotten over this problem for now by transferring the money I had put aside for the beds into this account. However that only helps up until the point I need to pay the beds off. After that, unless I've managed to clear the OD I'll start incurring fees again!
Need to rethink my action my plan as the OD was bottom of the list.Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89

I went to update my signature and couldn't stand the thought of it being more than my starting amount. So I've transferred £24.75 over from my account and I will do the same when the next lot of fees come out.
I was worried about leaving myself short this month - but in reality it hasn't "gone" in the same way as if I paid it off my CC or Next so I can access it if I'm desperate but I REALLY don't want to!Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89

Ok so lets forget yesterday's blip and keep moving forward!
I've just ordered a birthday present for a friend and a moving in present for another friend. Used up what was left in my am@zon account and my prime trial hasn't expired yet so got free postage! Also dropped a birthday and xmas card round another friends so no stamp required! Going to do my best to pop cards into people as I'm passing! I already have a new home card, but need to get a birthday card to go with the present - will get tomorrow from the card factory whilst I'm in town.
Got my xmas party tonight! Meal will be paid for by my boss and I don't drink much so *shouldn't* spend much. The killer will be getting home! I have a few options:-
1. Stay at boss' which is the most MSE as my car will be here but not sure I fancy facing my boss with a hangover and don't want to drive too early
2. Get a taxi home - probably in the region of £30-£35
3. Get the train home - have looked into the times for the last train and it might be a bit early by the standards of my previous xmas parties! Would then need to get a taxi to the station from where we are (I reckon about £5) and then from the station which was £7.50 last time I did this - so I reckon it will cost about £15ish
4. Get the night bus home - these run all night and I've noted down the times. Again I would need to get a taxi from the station - so reckon about £10 but not sure if getting the bus on my own is *dangerous*
Options 2, 3 and 4 would all mean that I need to get to my boss's tomorrow to retrieve my car. I need to go to town anyway so would get the bus to town and then a bus to near my boss' and walk the mile to her house. So another £4. So options 3 or 4 would still be quite a bit cheaper than getting a taxi but I'm not sure how I feel about roaming about on my own late at night - am I just being a complete wimp?!
May try to discreetly put it to my boss and see if she'll pay for a taxi (a bit cheeky I know!) - but she just say stay at mine. Don't get me wrong, I really appreciate the offer but I very much have *boss syndrome* (i.e. never quite relax around her despite working in a small team with her for over 4 years!)
On top of this, I need to try and not do my normal and put drinks on my card as soon as I get drunk! I have drawn out my money for tonight so I need to stick to that (unless I get a taxi which will mean I need to draw some out).
In other news, I have seriously painful chilblains! So high heels plus dancing should be a challenge tonight! And if my boss has anything to do with it, I wont be allowed off the dance floor! Wish me luck!

Ok I'm recovered from a very good Xmas party! Spent more money than I'd planned BUT I stayed at my boss' so no taxis/transport involved AND I can claim back everything that I spent through my expenses! So actually it was a FREE night! However in my slightly delicate state yesterday I did have a takeaway! Oops!
Went into town and picked up a birthday card for 79p but that was it so other than my parking I didn't spend anything as I resisted the temptation to browse!
Went to see my nephew this morning (he's completely gorgeous!) and on the way back went to the market to get some meat - as we were there so late we got 4 packs of meat for £10 instead of 3! Popped a card into my friends house - Xmas and new home cards - so no postage.
Ordered a few more Xmas decorations for our rather large tree! But boosted my club card vouchers so only actually spent £3.50.
I didn't fancy food shopping today as the shops would be mental so I have to do that tomorrow night. Also I need to sort out my pots for this week - haven't added up what I've got left from last week but I have kept them separate. I'll need to pop to the bank at some point to pay some in but that may have to wait until next Saturday as I can't get to either of the banks Ibe got accounts with on my lunch break (although I could get to pretty much any other bank!)
So on the whole the weekend has gone better money wise than I expected!Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89

Yesterday I found the Coupon Queen! Watched a few of her vlogs and found some interesting tips which I didn't know about. I'd heard of Top Cash Back which I use for online shopping, but for grocery shopping there's apps like shopitize, checkoutsmart and clicksmart where you find the cashback for things you've purchased and take a photo of your receipt! Seems very easy! As I do most my shopping at lidl which doesn't seem to be on there I'm not sure how much I'll be able to use it but I'll keep an eye on there if I do pop to other shops!
Did my food shop last night (wow how much quieter was it in the evening compared to the weekend - note to self: shop in the evening!). Stuck to my list however the instant I got home I remembered about 5 different things I'd forgotten to actually put on the list! This is after my apple juice leaked all over the conveyor belt - cue some very dirty looks from the people behind me whilst the mess was cleared up!
Didn't spend anything yesterday other than the food shopping, which was within budget and still over £15 left in the pot - hopefully that will remain in tact until Friday and then I can allocate it to the house fund pot.
Also finally did some tidying in the bedroom - just need OH to tidy his side up and then it needs a seriously blitz! Planning on doing this tonight but got a few other things I want to do so may not get to it.
Need to collect the xmas decorations later if they've been delivered to store and then can finally finish decorating the tree!!!! :xmastree:
Also need to collect some xmas presents that were delivered to my parents. Probably wrap them tomorrow. Also need to collect new shower head as ours broke after only a few months so complained and they sent a new one. Need to sweet talk my dad into fitting it!Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89

Just checked my online CC as I've been waiting for my text to say my statements ready and apparently it was ready on Friday! Swear I never got a text! Shows it pays to check on there regularly anyway!
So interest has been added - £35.32 which is a whole lot less than I was paying before! I need to rethink how I do my expenses though as £3.53 relates to my expenses. So now I'm really confused as I thought the way I did it meant I didn't pay interest on my expenses! But apparently not! Now that it's split out I can claim back the interest on it but I wonder how much I've paid in the past! Eek!
I thought I was getting on top of everything but then something happens which makes me think that actually I still have no idea what's going on with my money/banking!
However even with the interest I'm still under £8,250! :jHere's hoping I can pay something off before Next add interest and take me over!Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89

Went to Mr T last to collect Xmas decorations and they'd delivered the wrong coloured tinsel - however instead of refunding the £7 I paid they refunded £10 for the inconvenience! They couldn't guarantee the correct colour would be delivered until next Monday so need to go elsewhere so I can finally finish decorating my tree!
Also went to my parents to collect some parcels including a new shower attachment as ours broke after only a few months - instead of delivering just the shower bit, they sent the whole new bathroom taps! Was going to sell them but my parents are going to redo their bathroom next year so they're going to have them and just buy the shower attachment. They did say they'd knock something off what I owe them but I don't really mind even if they don't as I probably owe them a lot more than they've said I do!
Hoping for a productive evening tonight - cooking tonight's dinner and making cottage pie for tomorrow night, getting tinsel and finish decorating the tree and wrapping a couple of Xmas presents. If I time I also want to wash our bedding and change our bed and clean the bath! And then it will probably be time for bed!Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89
