About eight weeks. I'm not working at the moment and can't see me doing so for the near future due to my health issues.*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200

Probably not quite the spirit of the thread...but around minus 11 months
I'm still working for the company I joined on graduation. They also sponsored me through my final year and a summer work placement the penultimate summer which lead to a confirmed job.
I picked degree subjects that were highly employable and worked every summer - progressing from a mon-fri office job+retail job sat/sun; a paid academic research project+chambermaid for remainder of the summer; then the summer placement.0 -
3 years, then had a temp job in a factory for 2 months, the unemployed for another 3 years until I found my current job
I have always hated being on benefits & anyone one who knows me will tell you that I am not a lazy person (I did do voluntary work whilst on benefits), I was just bad luck that I found myself out of work for 3 years (twice), but I am now loving working again0 -
4 days.
Got sacked from a pretty terrible job and 4 days later I had a job with a £6k pay rise and about 8 hours less work a week. Best thing that ever happened to me.0 -

Thankfully I've never been made redundant and I always waited until I had another job before handing in my notice.

6 weeks in 2005 - it felt like 6 yearsThey have the internet on computers now?! - Homer Simpson
It's always better to be late in this life, than early in the next0 -
4 months was my most 'solid' period out of work
I personally like being the Temp as we all pass through right
and nothing is guaranteed x
Next question!!0 -
1 year and it was awful.0

Four and a half years and still unemployed. The nightmare continues for me.
Have done some voluntary work during this time but it's all led to nothing. Was signed off looking for work and on ESA for two of those years.
I guess I'm just an unlucky person.0 -
I only take on contract work and have always had work up until now for over 25 years. I've now been in-between contracts for coming up 18 months, career-wise this is the worst time of my life. Sadly I'm not part of the statistics as I'm not claiming benefits. On the plus side I have managed to carry out a fair bit of DIY.0
