One of the board guides had posted something to wind up a company and then locked the thread to stop any responses (but they're last post was pretty goading to the company). Someone on Monday (linked to the company I would guess) spammed the whole site by posting a new thread in every board and every page (abusing the said board guide) thousands of times under new users names. Went on till about 2pm and it was a bit of a disaster!0

I pay for the front garden to be done and we've gone through 3 or 4 gardeners in the past few years. They either don't stick at it as a job or become too unreliable. I ask for quotes and never hear back etc.
I am happy to pay the full hour rate for a 15 min job without quibble, I don't begrudge paying for someone to do it because that eases things for me & Mum, provide tea/coffee/cake/biscuits and give the payment upon arrival for person to do the job, them leave them to it. I don't understand why so many haven't worked out.
Our last gardener got more and more unreliable, changing appointments constantly or not turning up without letting us know (only when I chased the next day was I given an apology). There was a 3 hour job on offer in the back over winter I think he managed it on the fifth try! Final straw was the last time he came; he was 15 mins late (no apology or message to say he would be late) and practically raced round doing the job, left weeds in 3 places and random tufts of uncut grass dotted about the lawn. Obviously wanted to get to his next job instead of doing a proper one at ours. I was willing to put up with the unreliability because he did a good job but won't put up with both.
Got a lovely person at the moment (uncle of friend) just hope he stays in the business because I believe he's looking for a normal ft job!0 -

I think he should be called Victor........
You're reading a forum called "Praise, Vent and Warnings", you post your own moan about someone who starts a thread, and yet you think it's them that has the problem :rotfl:0 -

I was merely confirming what purpleshoes had written and in fairness s/he was pretty accurate in the observation0 -
Your point of view on the OP is? Your helpful reply was?
How often do you reply directly to the OP with helpful advice?
You appear to lurk and jump in and give some genuine helpful people a hard time.
What is YOUR problem?
You appear to need help.
And your helpful advice would be........?
No wonder posts have been removed from this thread0 -

This forum gets worse. Seems to be more and more people join this forum because they have no lives are, for some reason, I can't comprehend, get a kick out of abusing random strangers on an internet forum.
Each to his own I guess. :-(0 -
OK. Update for those interested. Sad cases please feel to ignore.
Camera was on window sill pointed out the window at driveway not checking the inside of the house. Its there for security purposes.
The owner of the company still did not return the key stating that its a police matter now. She also said she doesn't like the way she was spoken to and has forwarded all the texts to the police. Quite funny because although the texts do point out the issues and are complaining in nature, escalating to please just give my key back - they are in no way abusive, theres no bad language, and no threats or anything like that. They are just to the point.
I did phone the police to see what was going on. I got the impression that she had phoned them but they couldnt tell me why. But they did say there was nothing they needed to speak to me about because it was a civil matter but she did have to return the key to me.
Im betting they had a right laugh at the police station when this woman asked them to drop the key off to use and then wanted something done about the nasty texts!
But she finally agreed to drop the key back today so we'll see - probably after the police finally told her it was nothing to do with them.
Although I am a bit concerned. This is not normal behaviour. Shes obviously upset that we caught her cleaner "at it" but surely any normal person would try and sort it out not go off on one like this? This is the behaviour of someone whos not quite right. (and Im not knocking mental illness at all having suffreed myself years ago).
Seriously considering changing the locks. After all, I have no way of knowing if she got another key cut. Not saying she has but to react in this way is just not right.0 -
Has she returned you key yet, OP?
It's a bit of a U turn isn't it, that this morning she would only deal with the police but has now agreed to bring your keys back. I think I would consider changing the lock too, maybe there is nothing dodgy going on but her behaviour would certainly make me suspicious...0
