Hey everyone, hope you all had a lovely Christmas!
Ours has been a bit of a washout. Both little jwil and I have had a stomach bug. Delightful!
Still feeling rubbish so going to have a restful day today, and hopefully get back onto it all tomorrow.
I'm going to try and use the full allocation of free listings while I'm off to get some new stuff on.
We've sold a few things over Christmas, so did a run to the post office this morning.
Trying to catch up with the mountain of washing now."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Sorry to hear Christmas didn't go too well. Hope you're both feeling much better now.0

Thanks retired
I'm ok now, but little jwil still isn't right bless him. He asked to go to bed tonight!
I did manage to get 4 listings for DH and about 9 for me done today while little jwil was napping. DH has also sold 19 items, and I've sold 2 today, so will have a nice lot of packing to do tomorrow.
I went to Asda earlier and wound up spending £40! Not planned. £10 of that was on some digital scales which weigh up to 5kg so should be more helpful with ebay weighing. I always price up on my non digital scales if it is close to the weight band, so hopefully the digital ones will pay for themselves soon enough.
£11 on a huge box of washing powder, and more money on stuff to try and get the smell out of the carpet. Little jwil has vomited on it a few times now, and I can't get the smell out. I've tried vanish, bicarbonate of soda, nappy cleaner, using the carpet cleaner machine on it, and I can still smell it! I've bought shake n vac and febreze today. Anyone got any other suggestions? It's sour milk really as he hasn't eaten anything else really for days now."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Hey everyone
I'm back after being awol for a while. I completely lost my MSE mojo, life was getting in the way and the finances not improving.
I've been lurking around, but neglected my MSE friends and haven't really been posting.
I've decided I need to get back into it and focus again and hopefully some old and new friends will join me.
I have a lot of debt, and it has been just ticking over. I don't make great headway into it and my finances are tight so it's a constant struggle.
The last few months have nearly tipped me over the edge, and I have seriously considered a DMP but have decided I will try and give it one last blast.
Anyway, I keep having bursts of enthusiasm and then getting despondent because I am not getting anywhere. I need to stop this. The debt didn't build up overnight, so it's not going away overnight unless I win the lottery.
The plan is much as usual:
Sell as much as I can - ebay is still the way forward for me, I get much better sales there than I would elsewhere.
Continue the great declutter
Cut down on general spending where I can.
Keep up with surveys for cash and vouchers.
Thank you if you've read that far!

Thanks truebluemummy - I would just say describe your stuff accurately, list similar things together, and offer international postage! Anything else, just shout.
