A couple of sales overnight so they have been posted and payments been made.
I'm off into our bedroom today. I'm going to go through my clothes again and also those of little jwil and little miss as they are both growing out of stuff.
I'm just going to send it all to charity apart from a couple of items I may try on ebay.
My clothes are all starting to fall apart and do not spark joy! I've bought a couple of tops from ebay and am going to see if I can buy the odd cheap thing here and there until I've replaced what needs it.
I hate clothes shopping with a vengeance and it's not easy to find stuff due to my size. I did buy a top from ebay and didn't like it when it arrived. It wasn't anything the seller had done so I just resold it myself. I paid £8. It didn't sell at £5 so I listed it at 99p to get shot of it. It sold for over £15 in the end :T :T
Well done for your payments so far this month. :j
Brilliant that you managed to turn a profit on the top you bought and didn't like! :T
You always seem so motivated... Even when you don't feel you are. (If that makes sense) xxGE 36 *MFD may 2043

Thanks guys
It's so overwhelming! I've pulled everything out and don't know where to start! I've found some clothes I didn't know I had  some that don't fit but I'd love to wear (should I keep them? They definitely spark joy, but are several sizes too small so it requires me to lose a lot of weight before they would fit)
A pair of jeans that fits (keep) and two pairs that fit but I don't like so they can go. A load of coathangers can go and I'll just keep the nice wooden ones. I don't hang many clothes.
Now little miss has woken so not sure how much more I can do right now"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Well had another blast while little miss went up for another nap.
I've brought down bags and bags of stuff to go through and get rid of. Found yet more trainers! I remember I packed them away as my feet grew when I was pregnant and they didn't fit any more. So I shall try them on and if they fit, keep them, if they don't they will be going.
Found some more shoes to go and loads of bags. I'm washing all the clothing and that as it's been very dusty in there
I think there are a few bits that I might try and sell, but most of it is going to charity/recycling.
The room looks so much lighter, even though I haven't really tidied and organised. I wish DH would do the same."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Come on jwil! You're the declutter queen, be ruthless! As for ohs stuff I sorted through my hubbys stuff for him and put it in a bin bag ready to go to charity and just got him to check it. Job done. Reclaim your bedroom! You're doing amazing. Keep doing whatever keeps you motivated. XxxLoan 1 £5200/£8000

Thanks kitten. That wouldn't work here, it would have the opposite effectDH is a proper hoarder so I need to let him do it at his own pace. He is getting better but still too slow for my liking!

Well I've just packed the car ready for the car boot later. I've unpacked 3 boxes that had been left since we moved (the newspapers inside are from 2009!) so have pulled out some stuff to take with me. I've got a fair bit to add to my declutter list now!
Fingers crossed we sell some stuff today. DH has put a few new bits out too. It's amazing how much I can cram in despite it being a small car and with 2 car seats and a pushchair
A couple of sales last night, but waiting for them to pay up. I've got the first real batch of my collection going out tomorrow and a lot have been bid on with lots of requests for combined postage quotes so I'm hoping they will sell well. I'll have to sort another batch out for this week now.
Hope everyone is well and has a good weekend"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -

Hi elly sorry for not replying sooner!
I don't sell many clothes on ebay as I tend to wear mine until they are threadbare
I've sold the odd thing individually and some childrens clothes in bundles to get rid.
If it's going to fetch a decent amount I'd sell individually as you'll get a better price. If it's nothing special I'd sell as a job lot to get rid.
To be honest, I find clothing a real faff to sell so I am just charitying most of it. If I was you, I'd pick a few bits that are worth it to sell and then charity or recycle everything else. I know what you mean though about wanting to get value from it."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Hey everyone
Did quite well at the car boot at the weekend, including selling a load of the stuff I'd cleared that morning :T
Sales here are still going well. I've run out of packaging materials though, and although I'd ordered some over a week ago, it still hasn't arrived  I messaged the seller to ask, and it's 'lost in transit' which probably means they didn't send it
So I had to buy a load of bubble wrap from the supermarket which is stupidly expensive, and I still don't have the particular boxes I need. They have supposedly resent it, but still nothing here.
I've still been continuing with everything. A load more stuff prepped for listing which I'm trying to get on today.
Lots more books put out for sale, and I've redeemed a load of vouchers from surveys.
All plodding on."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Happy days. I had an email from work telling me that they are being forced to make staffing cuts again. So they are looking for voluntary redundancies or other options such as reduced hours or unpaid leave. If they don't get the savings, there will be compulsory redundancies.
I've always been fairly certain that my job and my direct colleague would be top of the list for redundancies so that makes me anxious.
I'm contemplating asking for term time only working under their reduced hours/unpaid leave requests. It would be really helpful for when little jwil goes to school, and I'm sure we could manage it. I'm not sure they would agree though. They said all requests are without prejudice so I might see if I can see how the figures would stack up and see what we think then."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do".
