Well done with your sales jwil.
Huge well done with your paying stuff off. The last 2 lists of what you've paid off must equate to around 1k, that's brilliant! :T :j :T
Fingers crossed you manage to sort your working hours out soon.
Well done with your car boots and decluttering. I've not done any car boots for a few years.
eBay, it's a pain when customers want refunds, especially hard to tell who is genuine and who isn't. I agree, it's best to just pay them out and take the hit-reputation and good feedback are everything with eBay.

  • Hi Jwil,

Popping in briefly to say hope all goes well with the new job negotiations. Term-time working would be great when Little Jwil goes to school, worth it for the savings in childcare and reduced stress for you.

I'm afraid I still haven't managed to sum up any motivation for ebaying - maybe one day :p.

Hope you get the term time you agreed jwil.. A friend of mine does this and it's been brilliant for her. Financially tough at times but worth it.

You could also see if you could do a reduction in two stages? Part time and then term time when DS goes to school? Maybe do same hours part time as annualised term time would be? If you can do it on a temporary basis that's great - don't change your actual contract otherwise if they do a redundancy calculation (worse case scenario) they will do it from your reduced hours.

Your decluttering is excellent and you have inspired me to try and sell some bits of clothing that no longer spark joy rather than just chuck to the CS!!

Thanks Brizzle - good points about changing my contract - definitely don't want to screw myself about the redundancy!

Good luck with the clothing sales :)

Thanks tattycath, I quite like selling at car boots. It is a pain on ebay but most transactions go fine :)

Hi P&F :) It would be great to have term time working only and not have to worry about childcare.

I'm sure you'll get there one day with ebaying :D

    Hope everyone is well :)

I've been keeping busy. Still sorting stuff out, and carrying on as ever. We did 3 boot sales last weekend - one on Saturday and two on Monday. We got rid of loads of stuff so that was good.

I went through a lot of the children's toys and got rid of a couple of bulky bits and a few other bits as well. It's hard though as little jwil doesn't want to get rid of anything! It's mainly been items where there are more than one similar so I'll show him both and give him the choice of which one to keep.

Today I have been prepping loads of ebay sales. DH is off the next couple of weeks, so not sure how much time I'll get on the computer, so am getting stuff ready so I can upload it as and when. I'm hoping he'll knuckle down and clear some stuff.

Pleased to have the free listings again for September. It means I can keep going. I am unpaid now so need to keep the cash coming in.

I photo'd the last of my collection today. I am very sad to see it go but need the money. :( It's been making me good money so at least I've gained from it.

    Hope everyone is well :)
