    Morning everyone

    Happy birthday Taplady

Looks like we are all having a wet morning, but looking at Tewkesbury, I'm not complaining. How on earth are these people ever going to get back to normal ?

The weather forecast for today and tomorrow was supposed to be quite good, and wanted to get to the lottie to try to do some weeding, but think it's going to be an Ebay listing day. Signed up for Auctiva at the weekend, and it's brilliant, up to 16 photos free and scheduled start times free as well.

Going to put the washer on, just hope I manage to dry everything without having to used the tumble drier. I just got my latest gas and electric bill, and drying things in my South facing conservatory, using the slow cooker and steamer seem to be making a difference as my bills have dropped quite a lot - I know British Gas have dropped their prices, but don't think that accounts for it :T

Hope everyone has a good day (despite the weather) x

    Good morning all!

    Happy birthday Taplady!

It's raining here this morning, so washing in the TD (on economy 7). DH & DS have both gone off to work (DS's "Saturday" job) so I have the place to myself.... so am on here.... oooops! Well the housework will get done before they come back.

What DH doesn't realise when he points out that I am "playing on the computer & not getting things done" is that you lot inspire me to get things done, especially if I peep into the flylady challenge!

I could hardly believe some of the pictures of the flooding over the weekend, hope none of you are affected, although I guess anyone who is really badly affected doesn't have computer access at the moment. It looks horrendous, and the thought of being without clean drinking water is awful We have so much in this country and take things for granted that it will always be that way, don't we?

    Have a good day

    Morning All

Taplady - Happy Birthday - have a brill day
HardupHester - hope the floods dont get anyworse for you
DLB - yes that is really rude. I dont put up with oh's family unless he is here - I couldnt bear it
Mioliere - you have inspired me to go to curves, may manage it in the school hols - if not will def be in september.

Overcast and miserable here today with loads of rain forcast. Luckily OH and myself need to go to our accountant in Kent which is 1.5 hours each way, so I wont feel that I am missing out on good weather. Looks a better forcast for tomorrow so will aim to get most of the paperwork done tonight so can do something with the kids tomorrow. Think that will be the way for the rest of the holidays.

Did get out with the kids and dog in the sun yesterday so that was nice, also had a lovely roast and I went to Tescos in the end and did a big shop so that can be avoided for a few weeks now.

Best be off - need to shower. Have a great day.

    Hi all :D

    Happy Birthday Taplady :bdaycake:

Sorry I haven’t been around for ages but loads has been going on since we came back from France for a week away.

Unfortunately we came back and found out our freezer had defrosted so that was a nightmare! Then I’ve started my new job and to say it’s busy is an understatement, but the good news is a graduated last week :T

Haven’t really got much time this morning now either but I will try and get back on this evening and catch up with how everyone’s been doing.

Until then, hope you are all keeping ok and take or leave the :grouphug: as needed

Good morning Chums and HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Taplady

    :bdaycake::bdaycake:
Thank you for all your good wishes , will probably come home like a pin cushion. Have got my 'Bridget Jones' to wear today so any screaming eminating from the Medway Maritime Hospital will be the Dr.s faced with me in all me finery :rotfl::rotfl:
Grey looking start to the day here in north Kent ,two of my little grandsons Jack 7, and Henry, 6, are off with their school for the summer day out .Bless them, they are going to Minnis Bay on the coast .I do hope the rain holds off for awhile at least .They were so excited last night and were telling me that they were gong to go on the beach and make a huge sandcastle :j
They think that because Mum and Dad had an extention on their house last autumn that they aren't having a holiday this year ,what the children don't know is we have booked a week in Sherringham in a holiday cottage at the end of August, and we aren't going to tell them until the day before we go and then we are only going to tell them that we have got a couple of days in a caravan:j
Although my op. is on the 9th August I am hoping that I will be o.k. for the trip. My DD will be driving my car so all I have to do is sit as a passenger, and when we get there just try to rest as much as possible .I did say that I would stay at home by DD won't hear of it.
so the quicker I get things moving the better .
I hope everyone has a good Monday, and that the rain holds off enough to get your washing dry.
<<Hugs to those in need >> and a big smiley face to the rest of you:D
Cheers, JackieO in Kent.:D Onwards and Upwards

well today is an after holiday catch up day. washing machine on, although didnt bring much back dirty as we had a washing machine in the villa. need to put everything away and the cases back in the attic.

might go and look at a garden bench later (got birthday money to spend and I have always wanted one). most places seem to have sales so hopefully will get a bargain.

we have blue skies and sunshine at moment. hope those who are flooded out get relief soon.

    good luck jackieO !

    Morning Guys!

Weather here in Kings Lynn is terrible!!! Yesterday and Saturday werent too bad though. We made a picnic yesterday and went and sat on the beach at Hunstanton...me reading the Sunday papers and OH...head in HP:rolleyes: ...he is over half-way and enjoying it:D We do love it here (apart from the current weather as its playing havoc with my bones/muscles/joints), but it is a beautiful place and so relaxing. Much slower pace than london! I emailed the owner of the bungalow last night and we have booked again for the New Year week (sun-sun) costing us £230 for the 7 nights with all electric, gas, towels etc included. Didnt think that was so bad:confused: That week has been coming up so expensive as we obviously see in the New Year.

On the money front we havent spent much. I had saved up £150 for this holiday and spent £35 in Debenhams but everything was 80% off. Bought DD a new posh bedding set, 2 new Jasper Conran Skirts, a JC dress for another wedding weve been invited too and some lovely measuring spoons. OH & I had £30 each pocket money (I still have £20 as I bought something for DD)...not sure what OH has left:confused: and we still have over £40 left. I took food with us and had a seperate budget of £30 for food and bought booze with us for OH.

We havent spoken to DD much as she doesnt want to talk to us. She has been sending loads of texts but she told us that she gets upset when she hears our voice so is better just texting us. Saturday was particuarly difficult for me and I cried most of the day. My mum even called me as OH had told her I was so distressed. Obviously, DD doesnt and wont ever find this out:o DD text yesterday to say she had spent 110 francs on my pressy...thats about £60:eek:              ...I havent a clue what it is, but then she asked if Dad would like some chocolate:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Had a bargain cinema screening on Saturday at Great Yarmouth. There was a flea pit cinema there but they had showing of the new Transformer film....excellent and is the BEST special effects I have ever seen !! It cost us £3.99 for both of us and an ice slush was £1.50. We took in a chineese box we had bought from the market costing £2...so it was great and moneysaving:A

Today I have to go to the local hospital again for 2 jabs and then we are going to Peterborough:confused: ...OH says its nice but have never been....dont they all talk funny there:D

Anyway gang, Id better go and get dressed and eat something. We are coming back home after lunch tomorrow.

Have a good day and hugs to all.

    Morning everyone

    Happy Birthday Taplady

Well im not having a very good start to the day. I have been working nights all weekend and Mr Night-Owl went out with his friend last night (40 years old thinks he's still 20!) and he didn't come home and has missed a day off work, which means no pay.

Men:rolleyes: I can see we will be having a talk later about acting his age

My car cd player seems to be broken, it was only changed in April so im not happy with that, will wait for missing OH to tinker with it before I have to phone the garage.

My veggie patch doesn't look very healthy at all, still when I was in the garden the sun came out for about a minute but grey clouds are looming

OS wise, washing and ironing and a general clean, although might be delegated to you know who;)

Need to pop to tesco later and having a clear out of my wardrobe

    Have a good day everyone
