Have our details been compromised then guys???? Can someone from MSE confirm please that the database of members is safe secure?

I am not being funny but this hasn't been sorted yet and it's now 11.07am!

I've been here for my sins since 7ish am (yeah not great!) and I had thought someone would've been onto the case.

I see someone from the IT gremlins dept *is* in the case but the vast majority of boards seems to be b*ggered up and one post I posted for a friend in employment seems to have vanished.

sort it out MSE as otherwise the spammer/hacker/whoever is winning. :mad::eek:

they don't have any details... email and password and whatever date of birth you put in.. doesn't everyone put in the wrong one?.. it isn't like they have anything useful to anyone.

I think a banner message about what's going on would be helpful. You have lots of puzzled users out there whose posts have changed to exclamation marks.

Though, let's be fair, MSE staff came to work this morning and was confronted with what is clearly a fairly major issue to sort. I think they need leeway, patience and time to get things back to normal. I'm certain they'll be doing the best for us, as usual.
