Hey everyone. I'm late again. Pretty full on paid stuff for the last 2 days. Hoping will be a touch quieter tomorrow, plus I'll be at home.

Not an awful lot done here, just keeping pace with laundry and kitchen really. Oh DS swept the LR rug :A. To be fair, we've been out most of the time so not much mess made. Really need to see if I've got some spare bulbs for the LR light fittings - I'm now 3 down. DH used to sort that kind of thing. The first one went months ago, but now another 2 have gone. I'll go see if I've got any...

Hugs ionafan, mrs mp and everyone else too and sending you all sunshine vibes to cut through the gloom.

ETA: found spare bulbs, one has blown in the kitchen too, so all 4 replaced! Frog? Pfft. I have under-cupboard strip lights and 2 of those need replacing too. Definitely don't have spares...

Front of the jumper almost finished, I may need more red, that should bring my progress to a halt!! It's looking rather funky though!! It was originally intended for Spam but it is huge so will have to be for Squeak first.. I'll just get more for one for Spam.. It's knitting up so amazingly fast I'm sure it won't take long.. I'll fling a pic together in a bit.

    morning all

just cleared a load of junk and carp out of my handbag so that feels lighter, have offered a giant stuffed toy crocodile to someone on freecycle so thats going tomorrow. (not sure why it ever came in the first place)
recycling has been sorted and emails culled. need to get dressed now and go round mils - im hoping to get back in time for work today they are being really good over the amount of time im having off so dont want to abuse it any more than i have to.
also got everything out of the DoE rucksack so we can repack it tonight with explorer camp stuff.
got a lovely postcard off godDD yesterday shes travelling the world and in nepal with her partner at the mo, she sounded so excited and full of wonder at the world - she really is such a lovely girl. i love the letters and postcards when she gets time to do them.

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Photogenic I've been Money Tipped!
Just popping in quickly to say hugs, vibes, sticks and spoons for all!

Today is the first time this MONTH I'm not expecting a delivery of some kind (a parcel went astray and finally arrived yesterday) so I can go out and not worry about missing it....so I'm staying home and cleaning instead :rotfl: I think knowing I can crank my music up LOUD and have the vacuum on is more appealing than wrapping up and going out to spend money I don't really have. ;) Anyway I'm going to try and get the whole house done today as I have paid stuff tomorrow and on Friday I have my new fridge freezer being delivered :D The new bookcases and shelves are already here but can't do anything with them yet as I still need to touch up paintwork. :o

Challenge wise: 'Urgent' purchases made, now I need to get on with the actual jobs! DD is home Saturday until her friends birthday party, then out Sunday with her dad so I'm planning on touching up paint then.
Things left to do in the livingroom once I've finished touching up the painting (which includes another coat of gloss on the fire surround):
    - New lampshades (these have been up 10 years and they're showing their age, not urgent)
    - New rugs (need 230 x 160 ones and the ones I wanted are currently out of stock and can wait until they come back in hopefully!)
    - New dining table & chairs (trying to find one that fits the space is erm..interesting!)
    - Paint the sideboard white and replace the handles (waiting until after Christmas on that one as its a BIG job)
    - Hang mirrors/pictures/noticeboard (got to decide whether I paint both mirrors or whether I might replace them so I have matching ones then these two can go upstairs in the bedrooms instead)
    - Buy then hang photo frames for gallery of photos above sofa (£shop kind of trip ;))
    - Replace coffeetable & TV but not until the rest of the house is done.

Off to grab last weeks list to work through then clear the ironing pile before I start the cleaning. ;)
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!
