Pigpen whether you do them or not, huge big squishy hugs for you. So there. Xxxxx

MrsMP Huge hugs for you too, hope the sun shines for you tomorrow.

Quick bread and milk trip to supermarket with DD, and then finished the side seam of tiny cardigan (intended for DD's former colleague, her little son arrived 8 weeks early, hence tiny cardigan!) Started the socks, and will do more this evening.

DD and DS1 have cleared all their stuff from the bit of kitchen worktop that is a general dumping ground, and hence a huge hotspot. Looks great :D

Very sorry to hear about your friend, Ionafan. (((Hugs)))

Challenge Update: I like words to mean what they were invented to describe, not changed to mean something else because it's cheaper and easier to mass produce.
When did the words 'Dressing Gown' turn into meaning a 'Bathrobe?' No wonder I didn't like it. I want what is now described as a vintage housecoat. Vintage pattern purchased via ebeast. Also, fab book purchased because it explains how to alter vintage patterns - steep learning curve being tackled. Clothes used to fit ... mumble ... grumble ....
    Better is good enough.
  • DD2 and b/f are buying 80% of a flat in York. Yorkshire Housing hold the other 20%. Does anyone know if stamp duty is calculated on the 80% they pay or the 100% value of the flat. They will never be able to buy the 20%. If anyone can help I would be most grateful...

Have sorted out a lot of summer clothing to be packed away for the winter. Now I just have to get the vacuum storage thingy down off the wardrobe...

Thanks to all for hugs - gratefully received.

I haven't done all I intended to do today but I did have a successful hospital visit (no surgery needed at present if today's treatment works) and I did declutter some mental exhaustion this afternoon (zzz on sofa). I am not going to bother updating my list now - I'll just write a new one in the morning and see where that takes me.

Enjoy your vintage housecoat, Honey Bear.
CY, sorry I can't help with your query, but I'm very pleased that your DD2 and her b/f had their offer accepted :T
Hope your worries are unfounded, Dusty.
Glad you've got a Dr who is interested in actually doing something to help your paws, LW.
Cushions look really comfy, mrs-mp :)

Well I looked at today's list and was going to crack on with it after 5 and before I needed to do kiddies dinner but then realised that the kitchen was still looking quite good. So I wiped the sides, put things put away, and loaded dw. Didn't want to do anything else as it would be a waste of time. So I did half an hour of decluttering around the house. Kids to bed at 6.45 and then did school work until 10.15. Just made myself a cuppa and having a catch up before I turn the light off.

Hiya everyone and welcome to the newcomers

Sorry to be so late to the parade but we would like to be in again this week please, even though running along at the back.

A million thanks for the thread Natty, for last week Dusty and the challenges Ionafan

I really wish those facing the big C some way forward to being able to face this dreadful scourge with fortitude and hope. We are in a better place dealing with this now than 30/40 years ago but still some way to go unfortunately. My heart goes out to you.

I don't understand why the 'spammers' should attack us. What do they hope to achieve out of spamming people trying to help others enjoy a better, cheaper and (hopefully) happier life. I am wishing a bad karma on the lot of them as they have really made me feel quite cross   (sorry)
