I really wish those facing the big C some way forward to being able to face this dreadful scourge with fortitude and hope. We are in a better place dealing with this now than 30/40 years ago but still some way to go unfortunately. My heart goes out to you.
Ditto that. In fact, I feel inclined to light a candle to call down blessings on all who are dealing with long term health conditions, whether physical or mental. If you or your family are so affected, please consider yourselves included.

I don't understand why the 'spammers' should attack us. What do they hope to achieve out of spamming people trying to help others enjoy a better, cheaper and (hopefully) happier life. I am wishing a bad karma on the lot of them as they have really made me feel quite cross   (sorry)
I can only assume they must have very sad little lives, to feel the need to engage in such pointless, destructive behaviour.:(

MIA last week as a round of hospital appointments left me a mess by mid week...so slept a lot and just managed to feel ok for DSs birthday trip to York on Sat..had to use wheelchair but we all had a great time x
Decluttering zzzz sounds like the best thing you could do.;) Glad you managed the trip out; it's not so bad using a wheelchair, is it? As long as you have one with big rear wheels, so that you can have some autonomy over where or even if you move.;) One time, we were at a medieval reenactment, and I was busy examining some swords when Mr LW went to move me, so I clamped my hands on the wheels - poor love, he couldn't understand why he couldn't move the wheelchair.:rotfl:

I have appointments for the electrical induction thingy (22nd Oct) and the ultrasound scan (29th Oct) on the ol' paws, so hopefully we'll get some answers after that. Meantime, I shall just pootle through what I can manage of my list. Jack's busy decluttering zzzz at the moment; but at nearly 14 years of age, I guess he's entitled.:D
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

afternoon all! I've had a busy old morning running a session for 6 mummies plus their babies in the sitting room, so furniture has been rearranged, downstairs hoovered, kitchen cleaned and washing hidden away ;) Luckily the downstairs loo was already fairly company-ready so I didn't have to do it ;) thanks to fly-lady command central and a few recent S&Ss. Unfortunately the mummies have left it in a fairly crumby and tea-spilled state so I will have to do it again :(

I shall leave you with the quote of the week from one of the mums: " I thought you were a childminder or some sort of daycare what with all these toys and children's stuff"............:eek::eek::eek::eek: Bloomin' cheek - that had all been tidied up!! ho hum :rotfl::rotfl:

back from the tour of the local hospitals, radiotherapy went well and xray seems to have been through with several taken. radiologist has made us an appt to see dr in charge this week to discuss back pain and itchyness incase they are related and need better pain management. came back to my appt for boob check after the recently found lump. i have had a strong word with myself and said it will be another cyst (like the last two times) i havent really got time for it to be anything else but it still doesnt stop me throwing a wobbly and having a panic. luckily its an evening appt so that will be a really busy day hairdresser friend has kindly juggled and bumped me forward half hour so i can do that then mils hospital stuff then hopefully work then a bit of flying followed by my appt once lads have been fed and watered

thank you for the pm yesterday pigpen i really appreciate it

My beautiful wedding dress is a (generous) size 18 J@cques V€rt, and I would love to cut it down to fit the new me for our 5th anniversary between now and Christmas. Honey Bear, can you give me lessons, please?

Lesson No 1: Find a fabulous tailor. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Happy to help!

Twinks hobnobs (of which, 12 had expermiental chopped crystalized ginger added) baked, broccoli, stilton and roasted whoopsied cauliflower made and scoffed, curried parsnip soup made, whoopsied plums baked in a splosh of red wine left at the bottom of a bottle.

Now, I suppose, I'd better do the kitchen listy.
    Better is good enough.

    Under sink cupboard done,
Drain company visited and unlocked drain, was told it will happen again soon as caused by roots in ex Mr Boarded up' drain. Have reported it to the water board as apparently they deal with this.

Towels washed. Ground floor spick and span.
Squirrel money found and added up.
I'm off to a Uni visit tomorrow with DS1. (near Nicki I think). Will wave to all on route.

    Off to cook tea x

    Hugs Mrs M P x
