All jobs done, a bit windy for a bike ride but good for the washing. I'm about to put the second lot on the line, then I'm going to spend the afternoon with my kindle. Will take a break a bit later to walk the dogs again.Spend less now, work less later.0

Afternoon
DDs bed is stripped and bedding will be washed tomorrow, DD bathed and out with ex, Mr A shop arrived as they were leaving so that's all away, all but 1 of the old freezer drawers are now washed and currently draining, old fridge & freezer moved and I'm working my way through cleaning them, WM x 2 done, and I'm halfway through putting up the first of two bookcases for my home office area and the blooming screwdriver battery is flat so thats on charge! Therefore I am taking a break to have a cup of coffee, something to eat & I'll watch something on catch up
Plan for the rest of the day is to get uniform sorted for tomorrow (currently hanging up drying off), get DD to clean her school shoes as they're covered in mud (she went to the schools "green corner" aka allotment area in them on Friday despite taking a change of shoes with her ), packed lunch sandwiches made for the week & in the freezer (DD's job), finish cleaning up the old freezer (Old fridge is waiting as the bag of spinach & a cucumber had turned to mush in it so it stinks & I know DD will do nothing but complain about the smell while I clean it so I'll do it tomorrow), wash dishes (DD can do that
), assemble the 2 bookcases completely and lug all the "office" stuff from my room back down and put away. I may just see some parts of my bedroom I haven't seen since July at this rate

Hi all
Well I have had a productive weekend, not much rest but lots of jobs have got done so thats good. I have just had a couple of hours filing, shredding and decluttering in our little office. This is a mammoth task and I have decide just to keep chipping away at it.
Its been a great day for drying the washing so there is a bit more ironing to do, the stairs need a hoover and then I will get some spuds done to go with the stew and dumplings bubbling away in the slow cooker.
OH and DS2 are on the way back from footie and they got thrashed apparently so they wont be happy!
Best make the most of the peace while I can.0 -
The pear mountain has been depleted, but is not gone. So far I've managed to start the dehydrating process, and I think I'll do a lot more of that tomorrow and Tuesday. I've also got 14 jars of pear chutney and if the flavour matures anything like the way I think it's going to, it'll be wonderful. The pears I poached for the freezer don't look too promising, and OH has extracted about 20 he thinks he's going to eat before they go to far - I have my doubts, but he's happy with his stash. I've got another veg box full in the fridge, so that'll either be more chutters or several ovens full of for dehydrating. My feet are kn@ackerd.
I'm going to shoehorn in a couple of hours sewing and that'll be me for the day.Better is good enough.0 -
Enjoy your sewing HB x
Made twinks and cakes with Ds2
Then homemade chicken nuggets and sw chips for tea
Off to bath ds2 then may drag out some knitting whilst watching DA x
It has been a lovely day here but couldn't dry wash outside due to the stuff coming off the trees.0 -
Lovely day here too. After lunch, I managed an hour or so in the garden. It is just 40 ft square, but the amount of work there is to do at the moment.... It has gone wild this year.
Otherwise, lots of relaxing! Back to flying tomorrow. It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
My office area is assembled and everything that should be on/in it is there. I need to get a noticeboard or two up for work things, attach an extension lead to the wall for everything to plug into so I can move the wireless box, put the wireless box & phone up on the wall, clear the shredding pile and have a massive filing session, but it'll do for now!
I've hurt my dominant hand in the process so I'm going to take it easy for the rest of the night. Stupid screwdriver jumped and has bruised the base of my finger so gripping/lifting hurts. Nothing is needed until tomorrow so it can wait
See you over on the new thread :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0
