just decluttered DS2 away with his friend to explorer camp for the weekend. freezer is defrosted and everything back in - front drive is covered in frost and ice. it looks like olaf has collapsed out there.
rang mum and mil. texted friend. DH is going to be late home so have time to wash up before he'll get in.
tonight will be a large glass of something and a dvd i think

watched here comes the boom the other night, really good film it was about a school teacher becoming a MMA cage fighter so save the music department - its got fonz, baz rutten and the guy out of mall cop in it.

Treated myself to coffee and pain au raisin in favourite cafe this morning, after the shopping delivery. :D

DD's bed linen washed and currently drying.

As still warm and sunny, I did an hour's work in garden, preceded by the usual trip to recycling centre with all the full garden rubbish bags. Really must get a garden bin.... Hacked the grass down - could not possibly describe it as mowing the lawn! - and dug over half of back of shady border trying to get out bindweed that has come through from next door.

In London tomorrow for Language Show.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable weekend.

*Fanfare* I have completed my Flying list this week.:D

Mrs MP Glad it was just another cyst; one less thing to worry about.

I agree with those who have bad things to say about Scamtander:mad::mad::mad: - blighters tried to screw Mr LW to the wall; they didn't bargain on him having his pet Rottweiler (me) along for protection though.;) Long story short, we ended up getting the Ombudsman involved.

Well done lw on list completion!

Have made an attempt on dds bedroom but have hit a slump so I shall put the smallest dd to bed get another from beavers then wrestle the big two (silently!) to bed before collapsing with my chicken stew and some knitting :)

    Evening

Just decluttering a bit more cottage pie. Kids away to Bedfordshire. LR needs a tidy, as does kitchen, but other than that it's getting the rest of my bag together for me, and a bit of "me time" need to do my nails again. That's what happens when you use cheap "alcohol" gel cleanser. It was probably a bottle of water, lol.

Kids love the new books, DD had about 5 stories this aft, and we've just read another 3 at bed time. We did them together but both kiddies had a bash at some of the pages. :T really pleased with both their progress.

We've had a lovely evening all round actually. They've played nicely, my Dad popped over with a big pile of surplus white card from work for our craft drawer :T and we've had some lovely book time.

Now I need to crack on, DW is empty but I've made a cake for gramps so need to wash that stuff up and find a home for the cake...

Glad you've seen your GP, Dusty - hope the meds help.
What a relief for you, mrs-mp, and the scarf is lovely :T
Well done on the flying front, LW :j
I have made a note never to change my account to Scumtander. They looked after some ISA savings for me a few years ago and I had no trouble with them then, but they were still a building society in those days.

I spent a happy morning in the back garden:
    - planted out perennials that I'd bought on holiday
    - moved a couple of plants that had grown bigger than I'd expected to the back of the border
    - relocated others to fill odd gaps
    - tied up a climbing rose
    - moved the mini-greenhouse to make space for veg pots next year
    - emptied the large planters and half-refilled them ready to plant spring bulbs and pansies
    - swept and tidied as much as I could
    - found half a bag of bulb fibre.

After lunch DH and I went to visit my friend in hospital. Found her sitting out of bed and looking much more cheerful, as some fluid has been drained from her abdomen and she is now much more comfortable. Hoping she can come home soon.

Then a trip to Sain$bug$ for mountains of yogurt and a few veg.

The liver and onions that I thought I had defrosted for tea turned out to be mushroom soup, so we had Qu0rn meatballs with the rice instead!

DH has gone out to wargames this evening - this week it's a Victorian science fiction game "In Her Majesty's Name." They're all barking mad :rotfl:

I will now go and make myself some :coffee: and catch up with The Apprentice :D Tomorrow will bring rain (probably) and more paperwork (definitely), but I shall have peace and quiet and space to work in while DH goes to a model railway show for a couple of hours or three.
