embb Hugs. Hope you feel better soon. Not good if it's affecting your health and sleep.

Not posted much this week as I've been really busy and feeling quite tired. Ive dropped a day at the hospital and feel better for doing that.

Flying wise. The bathroom and living room are done. Will look at lists later to see what I can do. Off to town this morning as DD needs a new computer. So will see if any bargains around.

    Dusty Hugs.

Hugs, spoons, sticks and get well vibes where needed.

Morning all. I'm up early than I prefer for a weekend as LittleDog was crying to go out. She really needed to so I'm glad I moved! Still putting the cream on her sore tail too, back to the vet on Monday.

I love reading this thread, so EmmB, Bossy is right, you need to do what you need to do for your health, Kaz, what a lovely offer to Piggers and LW, well done on completing your list.

Sorry if I've missed anyone but plenty of spoons here should you need them.

I thought I'd list what I've actually done this week (my standards though may not be as high as the perfect housewife):

Mooooooooooooonday ~ Kitchen and Dining room!
    15 minutes...

Declutter and wipe the worksurfaces.. and sink.. polish those taps!
    Sweep and mop floor
    Got an hour...
Clean out the fridge.. you do not need furry food!
    Extras
    • HHI
    • wash out bins
Tuesday ~ brats room.. if you have no brats do your own room!
    15 minutes...

    Declutter the floors
    30 minutes to spare...
    vacuum the floors
    Extras
    • Wipe over ALL the upstairs doors!!
Wednesday ~ Living room, hall and stairs!
    15 minutes...

    Declutter floors
    Vacuum right through
    30 minutes to spare...
    Wipe and water plants
    Extras
    • Sort through a drawer or cupboard

Thursday ~ Study, Landing, Porch and other neglected bits!
    15 minutes...

Declutter the floors in the study and landing
    Vacuum these areas!
    Friday ~ Bathroom and Study
    15 minutes...

    declutter floors
    30 minutes to spare...
    Empty and wash out bins
    polish mirrors
    Vacuum/mop floors
    Got an hour...
    Wipe chairs and sofas
    Wash shower curtains, bathmats etc
    Extras
    • Clean out and tidy cupboards
    • Shine the taps with one of the old ones
    • Check all the smoke alarms.. don't forget all rooms with high sleepers in MUST have their own alarm in!
Not bad really. My plan for today/weekend:

    Meal plan for week
Make mini apple pies with neighbour's windfall apples
    Hoover/mop through house
    Dailies
    Walk dogs lots
Plant bulbs which finally arrived this week
Finish putting contacts in new phone
Do a map of dog walking routes for friend

And weather dependent, maybe go for a long bike ride.

    Have a great day everyone.

    Morning all

Hugs and happy weekend wishes to all. Slept a little better (when I awaken I now do an imaginary walk around th town centre trying to remember the order of all the shops and realise I am not very observant).

DS3 is having a snowboarding lesson thsi morning, DH taking him but I may go along too and watch.

I want to find a new knitting project, just a little one as I am very slow. I may do a few jobs in the garden.

Flying- finish the bathroom, hoover and mop the floors, wash school uniform, do the ironing.
The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair
  • Morning all, Dusty you sound a bit more positive which is good.

So, I have to take DS1 to the opticians to get his new glasses, take a parcel to the post office, do some paid work, and the house is a complete tip.

Looks like another weekend not getting any down time. Sigh.

Best get on with it then!

Hello again. So far today I've done the menu plan for the week (not difficult as I'm not here for 4 out of the 7 days!), made the mini apple pies (3 didn't look that great to serve up, so I've just eaten those with a cuppa), changed our bedding, hoovered downstairs, put new laces in my walking boots and put the clothes on the airer away.

Next job is to get the recycling/composting/rubbish out, get a jacket potato in the oven for my lunch later and walk the dogs.

Towels all in and fluffed up in the TD
    Mogs fed
    Pots baking in the aga

Anyone else read that as 'Pets baking in the aga' or just me?

Love the scarf Mrs MP. It's absolutely beautiful. I simply don't know how you do it all. Please look after yourself, won't you and have a (((hug))) or (((three))).

Hugely well done LW on the flying front. *impressed*

Another person who thinks that Scumtander are ****. I can calculate a percentage perfectly well, and when the interest paid doesn't match the calculation after a one year deposit rate agreed over the phone (so no proof), that's the last time I use that bank. I'd already had a cheque-y-poo as compensation for a previous complaint so I have no reason to think their customer service is worth diddley-squat.

Flying here minimal but sufficient. We went on a 6km walk on Dartmoor yesterday led by an archeologist and I loved every moment of it, with the exception of about one second. I got my right leg soaked right up to the knee leaping across a leat about 10 minutes into the five hour trek, and even that was 100% okay because the accompanying Dartmoor Guide said 'Oh don't worry about that, it's so warm your foot will soon dry out.' I totally beleived him even though my foot and trouser leg were still sodden hours later. The whole thing was absolute bliss from the first moment to the last - the weather was far from perfect - overcast, foggy mist, rain, etc etc but it just felt fabulous and I now see Dartmoor in a completely new way. We're so lucky to live so close to Dartmoor and in a such a fabulous place and have such amazing people to help us understand it. Sorry about all that - I just had to share.
    Better is good enough.

Rubbish/composting/recycling all put in the right bins, dogs walked. Potato not quite cooked yet, so I'm having a cuppa. It's actually a lovely day albeit a bit windy, so I've got my bedding on the line.

Another job to add to list, might do it while potato is finishing, and that is to sew up my kitchen curtains. The hem is coming undone, but I can't get them down myself, so will have to do in situ.

Hugs, sticks, vibes and spoons to all. I have read the thread but being pestered by DD means I've forgotten stuff :o

Lots to do today. DD is home and has spent the day so far playing on her games while watching TV. Me, I've spent the day reading on here, giving DD solutions for her games and watching TV. The WM/TD are both on, and the new fridge freezer is cooling as I decided to give it a good 24 hours before switching on. Hopefully it'll be cool enough soon that I can swap stuff over.

Going to move myself and tidy up the livingroom. Lots of clutter that needs putting away :o Cleaning can come later while DD is out at her friends party ;)
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!
