My cars, in order of appearance:
Mini (bright blue. Loved that car!)
    Fiesta (Dark grey)
    Pug 205 (Blue)
    Another Pug 205 (Different blue)
    Pug 306 (maroon)
Pug 307 (Blue. Try to forget that one)
    Honda Civic (Silver)
    Ford C-max (bright red)

I can also remember all the registration numbers, ditto for all of DH's cars. Sad, really.

Ah, someone after my (parents') own heart ... :)

    Mine were:

    Talbot Horizon
    Pug 309
    Pug 309
    Pug 306
Pug 306 (current car, which I love)

All bought from my parents ... guess which manufacturer Dad is fiercely loyal too (he doesn't like change) ... :D

Any subsequent car will need a boot space to match the 306 - a hard challenge. Perhaps a Jazz or similar?

    My car list:
    Mini Cooper.

That's it. I was a late starter in terms of car ownership. Had never really needed one before that.

That's interesting, of all the NP other than me I would have guessed you'd be most likely to have had a couple of somewhat sportier sets of wheels in there than that. (GTI excepted)

I hate driving the wagon r, I'm still on the insurance but I'd rather ride a tin try towed behind a bus. But its cheap to run and incredibly reliable and versatile. Fir loves it. it accelerates at a pace he likes. He drives like the pope sometimes.

I had assumed ours would not accelerate because it was old and broken, a 1.3 engine with a car that weighs about...50kg shouldn't be too bad...then I discovered somewthing interesting if you take the revs over 4k. However I don't drive it like that as the poor wee thang has done over 100k and we need it to last at the moment
    I think....

I found living in rural Hampshire cars were quite interesting, living just outside London I'd be happy with a self driving car, there really is no opportunity to 'drive' anymore. Even on the motorway rather than worrying about refinement and comfort at 95 now you are risking your licence if you go over 75 :(
    I think....

Two words H... company cars. The eclectic bunch at the beginning were pre company cars. The boring stuff thereafter. Well, enough said. ETA... oh, and my 2nd Astra was as fast as my GTI.

Driving a 2cv is ace. You can actually drive that car at capacity and really DRIVE and love it. Not like pootling a long in a boring box and not driving. Lots of cars are for people who don't like driving, 2 cvs are for people who still love it I think. :D

I loved my 2CV apart from two features... the first is that they are painfully slow going uphill, the second is that when driving in London, they have the turning circle of the Ark Royal. Other than that, mine was huge fun.

I will say I have stayed with small reasonable hatchbacks as they go well when you consider horse power to weight. Yes there is always a faster car but I find more fun with something small nimble.
