My cars in order
Renault 14TL cost £150

All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

Even so badly driven they are the stuff of local folklore and will live on in the fairytales of generations into the future, the next wyvern perhaps, sparing the lucky.....

I hate driving the wagon r, I'm still on the insurance but I'd rather ride a tin try towed behind a bus. But its cheap to run and incredibly reliable and versatile. Fir loves it. it accelerates at a pace he likes. He drives like the pope sometimes.0 -
Hearths really change a room! They are both in. Very glad we decided to have the study one set at floor level. This is definitely something to do in other rooms of the house, now that hearths have to be so big. It takes off so much of the room otherwise, you'd always be stubbing a toe.
The smaller woodburner they think they will get finished tomorrow.
In the flue ( that inherited as working with the oil boiler discharging through that flue) as well as the obligatory birds' nests they found seven bricks and an old paint(?) pot.
One of the guys installing has the same overpriced toaster ( big woodburner) as we do and he says its the best thing ever and he would recommend them over everything else at least in one place in every house.
He also told me not to bother buying Eco fans, That he doesn't think they make a difference in reality.0 -

And a handful of others I didn't own long enough to bother mentioning or that weren't daily drivers, were track cars, rally cars, field cars to beat up, etc.
Everything up to the Mini was very second hand by the time I got it, everything after has been new if it's a company car or a couple of years old if privately owned.
Plus a variety of bikes, which are still the things with the grin factor today.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

Least said the better
In my defence until lately they've been pretty much the only manufacturer to make 4WD versions of the whole range.
So you get 4wd for the highland winters but keep a normal looking and fuel efficient diesel car.:)“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
