    Cloud thinned quite a bit here for a while so sun visible through them. Sun definitely not the usual shape. Light levels lower than usual. Not hugely exciting, but slightly more than the underwhelmingness that would have resulted if the cloud cover had stayed thick.
    Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
    Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
    Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.     :)

    Sorry guys. I thought it was wonderful. Took a cup of tea and had a mindful moment.

    Then a series of ridiculous selfies to mark the occasion. :D

    And then I cried at the total eclipse on the TV.

    I was doing something with someone here yesterday and put the animals out and pink whistley opened the door and came back in yowling. Creeped the other person out a bit. ;).
