I'd thank that several times over if I could.

One of the doubts I've had (e.g. between 4 and 5am today) is if I'm simply too old to start something up. I'm not, nobody is. Colonel Sanders only got his business going in earnest when he was 62.

My mother reestablished and became self employed in uk when I was older than your eldest and she was a LOT older than you. Like me, portfolio career was the name of the game though, and she'd do ( almost ) anything to keep money trickling in. I take after her I guess :D

4.2: make & sell frozen ready meals like the Cook chain in SE England. Start in farmers market and look to move to a shop later
Pros: very under-developed market in Aus. Little quality opposition from supermarkets. Could work around child care until business profitable.
Cons: PITA supply chain as the food needs to be moved frozen.

Hmm - didn't Tesco see ready meals for low to middle income families as being a gap in the market in the US and then went on to lose rather a lot of money with "fresh'n'easy"?
    I think....

    Surprising findings
While the popular image of the start-up founder is a Mark Zuckerberg-style dorm room twenty-something - Mattermark and Bloomberg's research found that a typical business founder was often quite different.
For one thing, they were more likely to be in their late 30s and almost one in four founders were actually over 40.

Almost 1 in 4 founders were actually over 40...those over 40 should be thinking about putting their slippers on and retiring?

Bloody got the dodgy pills again.

And ....despite having to sign for them they knocked in the door and ran......knowing I was going to refuse them.

Its not so bad I cannot do another month, but I kinda don't want to. If there is a shortage however I don't feel I need to be at top of the list for those available. :(

Oh lir, that's rotten :( (((HUGS)))

Thanks ivy leaf. I think I've decided to go with it for the month again...limited point in making a fuss. In a bout a fortnight if I remember I will make an enquiry as to how sourcing is going for next month ( which is what I meant to do this month and forgot) and if its going to be a problem as for the script and see if I cannot get it locally or NHs if I can get it in London or privately.

Meanwhile fir's bosses are late giving confirmation of Christmas leave ( they brought in a new policy a year or two ago yet over run telling people if leave is approved ( in theory because as you guys know, anything can happen) or not. This is leaving fir with very limited time to take his remaining holiday time in if its not approved, and he asked ( because we cannot remember) if he can roll over or take money in lieu ( neither of which we'd prefer) and they aren't sure either. Organisation for employees really is not their strong suit. :(

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
    :)

Hurrah Spirit! When your DH got the socks did he say 'good girl' and rub your ear?

Very proud of you, you trooper!

How are oh and dd doing? They holding up ok? Must have been tough on them. They must be bowled over with how well you are doing and how much improvement you are making.

Spirit, I am really excited that you are making so much progress and persevering with it.

Today, DW went on a course at work, an all-day course to improve time management. She came back and said that she thought it was a test. Anybody who actually turned up for the course failed.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?
