Our local cinema is lovely, they recently had a refit and now have much more comfortable seats (although still flip up ones) and everything smells lovely and fresh.
The best bit about it though is that you can order a hot drink or a meal when you buy your tickets and they bring it to you whilst watching the film. You can even order a couple of drinks (if a very long film) and have one brought to you at the start of the film and one later on.
It is also a very reasonable cost for tickets and food with special deals all the time on top.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

Thanks you sweetheart. I know you would. But unfortunately doesn't help with practicalities at the homestead and stuff. This month I am really alone. RP is going away for a moth non RP is away for two, even fir is away for a weekend.. And clients are away for a few days, one would certainly have done birds and a dog check for me.
To get to the hospital is say.....an hour, then say two hours there. Neuro is rude, offensive, argues with me about where I feel pain......something only I am really qualified to know, and which sleeping position is more comfortable. Again.....where she thinks I should be more comfortable is NOT where I am most comfortable. I resent being told I am wrong about what I feel. Instead of .....surprising, or even perhaps not giving it a fair chance the otherway........only I know how I feel, and when we start from the point I am wrong about I feel ( not how things are on scans etc) its never going to go well.
Of all the appts, this is one that if I go I want to have for there for. I was pretty resolved not to see her, as there will be a new neuro for the surgery team and going forward, but, maybe I would like to go once more and see where she thinks things are at. At least I know her opinions on where things are and so can contextualise. But not going without fir.
But thank you for your wonderfully kind offer, you are always far nicer to me than anyone could ask for.0 -

I struggle with cinema ticket prices, £40 quid before any snacks/drinks for the family outside London when you can buy the dvd / bluray for a tenner 2 months later and watch as often as you like with a £1 bag of supermarket popcorn.I think....0 -

We take sandwiches when we go to the movies. I get discounted tickets through work so a box of popcorn and a soft drink can easily cost more than a cinema ticket.
This is my favourite cinema in Sydney:

Expected better of you. Plenty of nectar points/ clubcard deals/ orange Wednesdays for cinemas.
