Green.
As in blueberry wood foliage.
I would love that - the green paint and a bluebell wood wall.
You would need to have good lighting (not necessarily extra bright, just good).
DH will only have gloss white woodwork. Nothing else can be contemplated. I have managed to get DD's room with one contrast wall and he does admit it looks good. Will take some time to get something I can live with in living room and our bedroom.
BTW he likes magnolia. I agree it can have its place..
Downstairs loo is painted in jasmine white, which is acceptable - it is one of the "corporate colours" of his school and they had some left over. I wanted one very green wall.
Maybe in another life!
If I wanted a green wall, DH would come home and find a green wall. You can find a wall for Jasmine white anywhere.
I want to change the lounge. I don't know what to, otherwise I think I would have done it. The curtains weren't exactly cheap but I shrunk them in the washing machine. I'd like to build a wall, really and separate it off.
Then there's this vague idea of selling, but neither of us are keen to move anymore.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Mmm. Copper walls. Depends on the green in the mural, maybe. Or silver. That would reflect the light coming through the trees quite well. And the purple is delicious.
Nothing wrong with a dark wild mushroom risotto colour. Keeping it earthy.
Get the mural up, then have a think. It's not so expensive that some of it can't be redone. Can't live for tomorrow.
Yeah, that's how I'm feeling today. All would have to be redone ( one wall will have a door going into it, one a rad coming off. I don't really care. I am fed up of it ATM. I would even consider laying floor etc in there now, but the rad in the hall way is quite possibly the hardest working most useful one in the whole house!
Copper sounds lovely, and might even lift a mushroom risotto ( that sounds way better than 'beige'. Or would go with a purply tone. Or a green. Thanks, very cool and 'me' thing to throw into the bag.
Ceiling opinions? Something basic like one of the whites? Will it through the flow as the eye god up the stairs do you think?0 -
We're in London next weekend for my birthday. I wouldn't say I feel pressure, but I have no idea what to do. We have friday afternoon to saturday afternoon.
Saturday evening is nibbles in an underground WC in clapham and we will need a decent lunch. I think we will do brunch on sunday at wahaca on the south bank so I can have a passion fruit margherita
Do I do an old haunt where we've had good times or should I try something more up to date? I really hate spending money but probably deserve a blow out after four incredibly !!!!!! birthdays. I just want to be with my boy, really. Staying on Westminster Bridge Rd.
Any suggestions?Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

If you've had !!!!!! birthdays, there's nothing wrong with tried and tested.
I was in that neck of the woods last night... went to a concert at the RFH. The south bank and the view were lovely, even in the rain. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Lunch we've all agreed here is cool is dim sum at the New World. Do you like dim sum?
Otherwise, if its sentimental being with doozer, then get a balance of old and new to you across the whole time.....0 -
On Friday I got an appointment to see neuro I hate in just over a week. Pfft, rude IMO, too short notice. ( quite conceivable people are away from their address for ten days for example)
Anyway, I cannot do it because I am alone.
And I won't do it because I am alone and the neuro is horrid and leave me a wreck.
So I'm calling tomorrow to defer. That will put neuro's knicker's in a twist but if I cannot do it I don't think I should get too worried about feeling uneasy about putting them out and annoying them more. Ridiculous.0 -

The boy loved dim sum in New York and has been disappointed here, but I've never really had it. He's also quite keen to go to chinatown. I just like food. I've been to Ping Pong and wasn't enamoured, but that's one restaurant in a chain and doesn't say much.
I rwad the reviews. What does the trolley service mean?!Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Fir says dim sum in New York in his opinions is not as good as china town here lol.
Trolley service. You sit down, girls walk around pushing trolleys full of things and you chose if you want one or two of the things they have. They go round and round, don't get too much at a time because its best hot and steamy and well paced.
If you do go definitely get barbecue pork bun/char Sui bun. I love them.. We make them at home sometimes. Fir has even made a version with jerky instead of char Sui, it was surprisingly good.
I also like one I call slobbery prawn....it looks and tastes like prawns in sort of set wall paper paste....then with a soy base sauce on it. Sounds terrible, tastes amazing.......
Paper prawns....
All kinds of things, justu ask what's in the trolley and if you like the sound of it try it.
With the savoury jelly as opposed to the sweet, the only nice one IMO is water chestnut. Its delicious. The other two taste like BO smells.0 -

Haven't been to chinatown this year. With arm in a cast I can't eat as elegantly as a two-handed person; Got a favourite restaurant, the Harbour City,
