Decided today I definitely cannot wait till forty for first facelift. There is an unfortunate amount to hoist up.

Think its crazy I can call a hospital and have a face lift next week if I want it but still have to wait for important surgery.

Hopefully if the op works life will become less stress ful and I'd need second facelift though........

That's the worst part of parenting, IMO - seeing your kids having "issues", knowing what you've done or failed to do that's caused them, but also knowing you're not able to do it any better even now you've identified it.

You need to let those responsible know about the failures of the system which is supposed to provide assistance, probably not today but when you feel stronger. They need to know and to respond to you, hopefully to make it work in the future.

Indeed. If you book assistance, it should be there. Take the opportunity to give positive feedback about the bits of the system that worked well, too. It will not only be welcome encouragement for the staff in question, but it will make the management reading your letter take the criticism more seriously.
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

At least you know they are all your own mostly good and occasionally not so good outcomes.

Weather's cold and wild here. My chair outside's already been blown over (it was tucked up a corner and never even rattled before). There's a biting wind and a real chill. Rain's hitting the windows as the wind's swung round since last night and is now coming from the SSW - and there are lots of random bangs now and then that sound like fences/sheds/similar moving or something (not mine I hope, I do keep checking).

The weather site accuweather says it's actually 6°, but feels like -3° because of the wind.

It's been horrid here. We had to go to farm supplies this morning and the wind was biting through our clothes. Decided it was definitely an indoors day today after that.

I'm pretty chuffed. I managed to eat chicken and veg on Friday, some seafood noodles yesterday, and fruit ( something I often find really hard and really miss today....quite a few physalis, a rambutan, half an apple....) and reckon I'm going to go for supper too. ( planned smoked salmon and a light soufle, maybe a little cheese and chives, got new chives sprouting, and leeks. ....) No silly body behaviour all weekend. :) kept pills and supplements in.

One flaw with swimming pool lanes is too many slow swimmers think they're fast, getting in the way of the actual fast swimmers.

I'll only go into the fast lane if there isn't anyone properly fast in there. If there was no-one else in the pool I'd never go in there, but the other part is usually clogged up with people standing around chatting/ doing a very slow backstroke (so they are not only going slowly, but diagonally, and can't see anyone else coming), or people who refuse to swim in a circuit.

I find we go in phases, mostly stock-piling until I notice it is impossible to cram anymore in then we have a week with minimal supermarket shop and eat the freezer down a bit. This week will be one of those as so far total spend at Mr T is £25 and tonight we will have bolognaise from mince from the freezer.

Weather is horrible, DD2 had all week to do her homework but left it till today and then it started raining before she had a chance to have a go on her new bike,
    I think....

Eggwatch update from chez Nikkster: 5 eggs left (all still raw)

It's also cold and miserable here. So much so that I've put the heating up a notch (and it's on earlier than it was due to be).

    ,

I've spent nothing on mid week groceries for a few weeks I think. Cannot go on like this really. Last week I are three corn cakes ( like rice cakes) and a yogurt and tried a cream cracker. Problem is its self fulfilling, longer it don't keep food in, harder it is to keep food in.

Sadly, I am NOT losing weight. This food this weekend has seen me swell like a balloon, :wall::wall::wall::cry::cry::cry:but if I keep food in it should even out.
