What you actually need are these:
.
A bit like this: http://www.cristalwindows.co.uk/Portals/0/images/FrenchDoors+sides_200.jpg So there are no walls either side of the patio doors.
What I've done is to get a couple of short velcro ties, which I pressed into a circle, then I opened each window and put that into the top, then shut the window, creating a "loop" on the right edge of the left window and the left edge of the right window. Then I went and got my widest net rod and have now slid that into the two loops.
Heath Robinson would be proud.0 -

On your link, for example, the widest are "W150-200cm" - my total span is closer to 3m. It's a window, patio doors, window. So, based on the width, I was just trying to get the patio doors covered for now.

The rods I showed are meant to fit inside the frame surrounding each pane of the windows separately. So, for the picture you showed you'd need 4 short ones.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

My mum's mum and her brother both have their ashes in a churchyard in the village where Granny spent her childhood and her retirement (although not her life in between those two). We are putting Mum's in the same churchyard, with the plan to put my dad's in with her when the time comes.
LNE's parents were very organised about his ashes. They were buried a couple of days after the funeral, in a plot at the crem.
When the dog died (in 2008) we scattered most of his ashes at two sites near our home where we used to walk him a lot. We were going to scatter the final lot at the place near my parents' place where we also use to walk him. I think we might finally get round to doing that this weekend while we are visiting my dad - although not on the same day as Mum - that would be a bit weird.
I sneakily put our family cats' ashes with my mum.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Our plan is that my wife will put all of our dog's ashes (currently only one) in with me, if only I could believe that somehow I would be aware of that, they would be (are) so welcome (definitely worth the trip if they could be with me, that would be heaven, not that I believe in it).Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -

On my 30th birthday, my parents and brother (who was back in the UK for a few weeks between visas) drove north from Herts to take me out for lunch at a local posh restaurant, hang around for the afternoon and then drive back home again.
They scattered the dog's ashes on a common where they often walked him, en route up north. It was a slightly surreal 30th birthday!0 -
How about buying a piece of nice looking planed wood about 25mm x 50mm x 3m and a curtain pole. Whilst on the ground screw in curtain pole supports one at each end one in the middle with your electric screwdriver/drill. Then buy a squirty tube of no more nails, quirt on the other side of the wood and put it onto the wall above the door (marking first to make sure it is level. Wait for glue to dry, hang curtains. You can even choose the height so you don't have to alter the curtains.I think....0

Is there not a square bead holding the glass in? These are UPVC doors? No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

If I could do that, I'd have done it properly. I have a deadline for this, it has to be done by tomorrow.
I don't have any confidence in my skills, lack of equipment, clueless general demeanour and past experiences.
Also - there is no "wall above the door".
I can't explain what I am trying to achieve here and why right now... but if I'd had the budget to be able to afford "proper tradespeople" at their high prices from the start none of this would have been necessary .... I'm just bodging something now until I get the confidence to do something myself at a cost of £120 instead of the £230 quote I've had for perfect fit blinds.0
