England should have a political fracture with Europe forcing us to have to play in the Asian cup rather than against European teams the way Israel do and we might win something....

No need to have a political fracture. Just get the England team to play in the European school kids league.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

On paying through the nose, OED's earliest example is from an Italian collection of proverbs etc. Did the Vikings make it to Italy?

If you sell the desk, you can avoid that happening again :)

    :rotfl:

I still need to sell the chest of lots of drawers next to it. I emptied it months ago and it's filling up again :(

It's a nice piece of furniture, but it's only possible purpose has to be a receptacle for cack. Unless I make my filing drawers redundant. It's pretty big though.

Torn. It could look amazing if I could be bothered to reno it.

Actually, PN, I don't know if you would be interested, but the All-in-One PC on top is redundant here? It's a TV as well.

We haven't used it very much at all. It has gotten slow, I think after DS installed Wizard 101 on it. You would probably know how to speed it up again. I'm not sure how to get it all the way, but we could get it to LIR and then perhaps you could co-ordinate its onward journey?

Might be worth looking at? It's going in a skip, otherwise. :o

I can totally see how that would become a cr_p magnet - so many drawers for squirrelling things away!

I don't know what an all in one PC is. It's a great offer, but it's the kind of kind offer that might turn into a problem beast if I said "yes", if you see what I mean. Beyond the transportation gymnastics, it'd probably require decluttering, reformatting, reinstalling or something else :)

So, in an effort to save days/weeks of stress etc, I'll decline.

Those drawers are marvellous though! You shouldn't ever get rid of those.
