@Hamish - you've written eloquently a few times about aircraft which I think I'm right in saying isn't your industry. How do you know so much about them? Is it an interest or a previous career?

Often over-rated from a cost per passenger mile perspective.
There's very few regional routes that a Dash-8 variant isn't the answer to.
In fairness to CK however, MOW - LON is long enough to stack up from a jet perspective if the load factors are high enough.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

Can't help but smile.....
Interview with a Scandinavian WW2 fighter pilot.
Pilot: The air war was intense, the German planes outnumbered us 2 to 1, but somehow we managed to survive.
Interviewer: Were they Fokkers?
Pilot: Ja, of course... But these guys were flying Messers(ch)mits ...Incidentally Hamish, I saw a Swiss army axe a couple of days back and thought I must mention it in case it could be useful for your travel toolbox.
Just googled. Brilliant.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

I still hold a license and fly occasionally for fun, but don't maintain currency or medicals to my full entitlements.
Ah yes, I think I asked you that before. I've been taking some quite strong painkillers for my back and they are messing with my brain.0 -

I highly recommend mixing them with a single malt.
Which is one of many reasons it's a good thing I don't fly for a living.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

And why does the swear filter pick up the second half of a WW2 aircraft???“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

Bit early for that sort of thing over here. I am laid out on my back as I can't take the strong NSAIDs any more, I could only take them for 8 days. I think I need to have a cortisone injection in my back. Apparently it sounds far more scary than the reality.0 -
I love you Nice People0
