GDB, it may not kill either of you to eat them raw, but I'd stick with instructions, if only in the interests of marital harmony.;)
I agree. She's gone to all the trouble of preparing them, so they should be cooked if that's what she wants. I have been allowed to snaffle some raw, though. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
I'm sitting here watching 'Enter the Dragon'. What a great movie!
The Fighting without Fighting scene is great.0 -
I've been having some problems with my camera. I think this is because random buttons and bits get pressed when putting it in and out of its case. Including the on off button and its when that happens the thing changes its settings. IYSWIM.
However, I have just about managed to get a photo of the Tiffany Bag.Tiffany Bag by ukmaggie45, on Flickr
Tried very hard to get a photo of the silver and tortoiseshell pill box, but just can't get it to focus properly currently. Will have to search for the manual online and try download it to this computer - think it may be on desk top downstairs, but can't be bothered going to look at the mo.I have worked out how to get it on the macro setting, but it still won't focus up close.

Is there a menu option described as 'macro'? That might help for pictures of objects less than a few inches from the camera.0 -
When I did a bit of linguistics at A level it was referred to as 'over-correction' which I think is a nice term for it. Very accurate.
Because 'Would you like to come to the cinema with Doozer and myself?' Sounds somehow 'posher', people assume it's correct, or want to sound more educated.
You get people saying 'whom' a lot when they mean 'who', for the same reason. Niggles a bit.
DG, it's kind of worrying that a teacher is writing like that. Although honestly looking at some of the people I went to school with (with whom I went to school) who went into teaching it doesn't really surprise me.
Thankfully, it was a PE teacher. I can forgive.
I set upon the Year 4 teacher who corrected correct homework. Its not it's when referring to something that belongs to it. She told me I was wrong, but I checked with you lot firstEverything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Yeah, it's not very user friendly though - you have to turn a dial to P (stands for Programme) and then choose one of 3 settings, one of which is macro. Got that far, but it still wouldn't focus. Maybe it just doesn't like reflective objects!TBH most of my photography is just point and shoot, hardly ever need to do close up stuff. Though if I go back to e-baying stuff I'll have to get it sorted out! :rotfl:

In the nuker, 3 minutes, job done. Eaten in a further 3 minutes, straight out of the bowl.
Cost: About 70p. Belly full.
You seem to be enjoying having more choice of food.:j
I've suddenly had a yen for salads! So lunch was rocket with grapes, tomatoes, pomegranate and dressing. Will prob have some of the leftovers for tea, along with avocado with vinaigrette with LOTS of garlic in it. OH has also made some fruit salad (mango orange apple grapes in lime juice) ready for tea too. Suspect I'm so vitamin depleted my body is sending me messages to eat more fresh stuff! But we also have some roast beef leftovers (there's only 2 of us, so we always have leftovers as if we just cooked enough for one meal the piece of meat would be a bit small to roast). So I think that will make 2 cottage pies, one to eat and one to freeze.

Ancient!
Apart from the cloth looking well worn, they print (in black ink) on the bags now, rather than stitch their name. Also the green tag would either be white or be a duck-egg blue cord. I could try and take a picture of the modern equivalent if you are interested.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
