Round here, at the coast, there are loads of camper vans, but they are nearer to caravans in size. I just wonder how practical it is to live for months in the load space of a Hilux?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

    Guess we'll find out.

Hilux has the (albeit expensive) option to put a camper on the back....

LC not so much..... It's more about living on the inside or with a roof tent, but it is more capable off road and does have more room inside to live in.....

Bored of waiting for fir to finish brushing his teeth ( they get a bedtime biscuit at lights out. )

Hamish, which would give you best sleeping comfort, or can you be comfortable in both. A few nights here or there is fine in either, but talking to middle aged ( sorry, I include me in that) or older equestrians who spend a lot of their time in the livings of lorries the ones who look human and feel human are the ones with decent beds not just flashest lorries. Most mod cons can be done with out and enjoyed for an adventure....but getting a decent sleeping platform would be the winning option for me.

I could get a good night's sleep in that dog basket; some people can sleep most places. So long as I've a bit of cushioning and it's warm, job done.

I don't need branded, firm, mattresses, nor sheets with a particular count of threads or something. Dry, warm, bit of cushioning :)
  • Hamish, which would give you best sleeping comfort,

Suspect either the internal sleeping arrangement in the LC or the expensive hilux camper would be about equal.

Roof tent likely to be second to those in my opinion.

I do remember someone telling me to wear clean underwear in case I was run over by a bus. Wrong on so many counts.

My nan always used to tell me to make sure I was wearing clean and decent underwear in case of being run over by a bus.....one day she was hit by a bus and was so proud she was wearing her bright red, very clean, very new, french knickers.

The ambulance service, doctors, nurses and x ray technicians were all rather shocked though at the sight of an almost 90 year old wearing very sexy underwear :rotfl:
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Whether or not it holds up to scrutiny, it still doesn't excuse the breach of privacy.

Though I'm pretty sure I count as even less nice than usual here - I've gone through someone's phone before. And their phone bills :o (it was my ex- and I still feel it was justified).

I'd never go through a friend's phone. I don't even like holding them to take photos.

My ex husband was silly enough to pass his phone onto one of the boys...complete with photos and text messages taking up all the storage from when he was having his affair!

Ok, we had been split for a little while by then but still, it was a shock to see it in black and white (and horrible, horrible colour for the pictures, those things I really didn't need to see )

How did she survive being hit by a bus at 90?
