Doesn't confuse me. If chewy's saying it right complicated happy families sound familiar to me ( as do unhappy ones) and goes part way to explain why he won't marry ms / miss chewy.0

I just assumed that you were referring to yourself obliquely. It all made perfect sense, except that I was impressed with your going for all those runs if you weighed 140 KGs.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
Merry Christmas nice people!
We're having a lovely day with no one but us. The dishwasher has packed in, but at least we're just four, not more.
I feel very bad for OH, chewy, not the day for that sort of thing, especially with babies. They'll take what they need and exhaust her. I brought home a case of delhi belly which pales to insignificance.
Is the weather due to improve, michaels?
The nice car was a sort of surprise for the boy. I hid it at my friends house before we went away. She took it a step further and dressed as Mrs Clause last night and delivered it to us. Was very funny, and sweet of her. He was amazed.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Happy Christmas to all Nice People! :santa2: :xmastree:chewmylegoff wrote: »OH appears to have contracted a norovirus (either that or it was last night's salmon mousse) and spent all last night and today so far "indisposed". We are now quarantined because my sister's newborn baby is here so watching the snowman in bed on ipad.
Oh Chewy, so sorry to hear that. I know it's the pits. We all had it over Christmas in 2007 - it was the first Christmas after my parents died, so at least it meant that we didn't over concentrate on that!Do hope it passes soon and doesn't pass on to your guests. Hugs to Mrs Chewy.
Our news is GS3 isn't so good (snotty nose and cough and bit of a temp), only ate a potato for his Christmas lunch. Has marginally picked up since, playing with his toy recycling truck, having fun posting choc coins in the side slits and then dumping them back out, and then recycling them back into the recycling truck again. :rotfl: Currently out for short walk to feed the ducks.
OH and I were a day late getting here as after 4 hours we'd only reached Warwick Services (one accident and one "incident"), a journey that usually takes 2-3 hours. After over an hour of nose to tail driving in the dark and wet, plus OH was still coughing from his chest/throat infection and I had horrid spasms in my right arm ouch, we decided to call it a day and booked into the Days Inn there. Both felt much better next morning, helped by the bright and sunny morning, so we finally made it to Herne Hill (via Fulham where we had lunchtime nibbles with GS3's other Grandparents).
Turkey eaten, just a few prezzies opened so far. Prezzie fest when they get in from the park I think.
I waved at all of you Inner Herts folks yesterday when we drove past the signpost for Hemel Hempstead on the M40!0 -
Herne Hill and Warwick services are both near to places I live/lived. Warwick Services is further distance wise than herne Hill was, but the driving time would be similar in rush hour
There's a lovely Grand Designs house on the edge of Brockwell Park.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Even though I'm not Inner Herts based, I'll wave back on behalf of any Londoners. I'm quite intrigued that Hemel is signposted on the M40, as it's quite a way away.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

I can do the wave from Warwick servicesWe'd had an argument by 10 am here
Pretty sure it wasn't actually directed at me, but due to my absent sibling. I didn't rise to it (apart from the ceremonial throwing away of the present), and by 11am we'd opened up some fizz and were starting to prepare the vegetables.
We had a lovely dinner and are now watching Strictly. Phew!0
