I see Sydney's beaches aren't safe! This'd stop me sitting on a beach for life: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2854544/Children-discover-baby-s-body-sand-Maroubra-Beach.html

It's a nice beach that one. Only about 30 mins from our place.

Oh Gen, sorry to hear your latest update. You said there was a 50% chance of redundancy, well hopefully Mrs Gen is in the other 50%. When will she find out?

Will delete: My lodger is on the other side of the world (near enough) from his wife and 6 month old baby. And his parents, one of whom is very ill. It's really tough, but skype etc help a lot. As do knowing when you'll see each other next.
Oh and on top of that he has a slightly mad landlady to deal with.

Being sick is getting really old now. That wees me off. "It's ok as long as you've got your health". Great. What if you don't?

We do the right thing. We got educated, we got proper jobs. I eat well and keep fit. We work hard and don't scrounge. My SiL's husband has had 76 sick days this year basically because he can't be arsed. I don't pull that crap. I even worked when I was having radiotherapy.

Life? Don't talk to me about life.

Well Gen, here's a pro, a decade in.

Life does go on. I still keep doing most, but not all of the right things. I have trouble remembering the medication sometimes for example, but I'm much improved. I have researched, sought and get better than NHs provision would be, we've put other areas of life in hold, sometimes by choice, most often by necessity. And things just keep getting worse in someways, better in others. C'est la vie. What can you do about it but play the hand you are dealt? Play it poorly or play it well......you don't get another chance.

But life DOES go on. I don't have the joy of seeing children who I love grow up and into everything they can and want to be. What a motivator that must be!

You just have to keep looking for where its good and plugging up gaps where its bad. So you are doing the right thing IMO to combat debt and know money is a concern so plug up that one.

    Happy Birthday PN!

Oh what awful news Gen, life can be a naughty word sometimes can't it.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

    35 cups of tea made.

This is why when people say decluttering your mugs etc I think, this would not work for me.

On with the rest of the day now.

It's not a good day for it. Too close to Christmas, so everybody's always thinking about that and got stuff to do, stuff on, or are busy with plans/shopping and stuff. I always wanted an August one! Nice and warm, long/bright days and no school.

Mum hates any mention of Christmas on her Birthday.
