    Canon PowerShot 12MP Black Bridge.

Was £279.99 will be £119 plus £10 voucher in Argos tomorrow. Could reserve it now. (Showing £139.99)

Not sure if it's too bulky, but on the face of it, it's better (but bigger) than our slip into pocket Canon and I love our one.

Thanks DG - these slightly larger ones seem better than the small ones but half of me says if you are going that size you might as well go the whole hog and get a DSLR. I bought one like this as a 'think about it' for 59 but it is only 12x optial zoom and a lens and sensor of unknown and quality:

Today is all backwards. I didn't get a morning nap ( though I did sleep in till quater to eight... Scandalous) But crashed and burned this afternoon. My pies for this evening are done, some of the veg is prepped and the stuffing is made. What we're really going to town on is veg, so that's more prep than anything, but hope to be eating delicious left overs for the long weekend. ( I love left overs the best). Lemon, maple and hot spiced roast butternut ( haven't quite decided where the heat is coming from....chilli flakes? A more exotic powder? ) And I'm doing my sweet potatoes differently, with a crumble topping instead of just spiced with marshmallow on top.

    Happy Thanksgiving lir!

I would love to hear about the sweet potato recipes when you have a bit more time.

I wonder if purch is in front of the TV watching the trio of American football matches (DH is).

I was given some Joseph Joseph stuff as a gift when I moved in here. It's nice enough, but I feel like I'm supposed to have it all on display on the worktop. So it's still in the boxes. I won't be designing my new kitchen around it either.

I was also slightly embarrassed at how much it must have cost, when a bottle of wine would have done (and no need to buy a gift at all tbh).

Plus I'd been living away from my parents for well over 10 years - I already have a pretty comprehensive collection of spatulas etc.

As I've mentioned before, I'm a very bad receiver of presents :o

We were clearing away supper when we saw.....damp on cheese room floor door threshold to outside. Cannot see any obvious cause inside. No point getting overwrought tonight, too dark to investigate much outside. To see if any thing is obviously causing it..( no standing water certainly).

Oh it is annoying when something's supposed to be perfect and you discover a new problem to solve. I hope it's an obvious problem/fix ... eg a wet cat having lain there just before you walked in.
