I haven't mentioned my furries lately as I've not seen any. I didn't know if that's because they've all gone, there are fewer, it's been wet and they don't like the rain.
So, earlier today, I stacked up 3 big stones in a gap they've been seen to use ..... and I noticed 2-3 hours later that two of the stones have been dislodged... so that proves to me there are still furries out there, I'm just not watching/seeing them any more.0 -
I may need to have carers come in to help me dress and then at night to help me undress. The main problem being bra's and my shoulder brace and splint There is no way I can do these by myself when Oh is not around .in Nov he is away and Dd goes to Aus.
Tomorrow we have our lovely oversized bath taken out and replaced by a walk in shower so I can shower independantly.
Still no rehab sorted so i am seeing the gp tomorrow and have a private physio coming in the afternoon.I now have elasticated waist trousers and a new pair of nordika slippers with backs in as mules are too risky. I am 54 going on 84 at present.
Oh, I want to give you a big hug.
My DW says that, even when the NHS provides therapy, it never provides enough. For her speciality (speech therapy, which I gather you don't need), the optimum therapy is around 100 hours. The NHS might provide 10 hours, if you are lucky.
I expect it's the same with physios. So, if you can afford to get a private physio, please get yourself as much as you need, and don't hang around waiting for the NHS.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
This is the face that's made when my lap is full of cat.

I have a new (to me) sofa suite and best of all, it cost me absolutely nothing!
1pm today, I receive a phone call from the housing manager telling me that she has a suite going and asking if I would be interested (I was moaning a few weeks back about not being to find a decently priced, non leather sofa locally), well of course, I was not backwards in saying yes and so she arranged for it to be brought to me in the works van for my perusal.
Within 40 minutes, my old sofas had gone and my lovely new 3 seater sofa, an armchair and a pouffe were sitting in my front room. They had not only brought the suite to me but they had also removed my old sofas and taken them away to be dumped plus also manhandled the new suite into my front room.
The look on Josh's face when he came home from school was priceless, it was the classic double take and youngest was rather confuzzled. Me? I love, love, love being able to lay down properly on the sofa, the almost new appearance (it is in absolutely beautiful condition) and the lack of a broken seat!We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

Yes, they look the same to me. I think it might be a question of those with the signatures copying them and pasting them back into the signature block.[/QUOTE

Excellent!Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

I'm getting exclamation marks Lydia. Same for mine too.“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0

You think on a ward not all patients can get good care if its well staffed? Here we can care about each other whether some of us are in hospital or if some one tripped and grazed a knee.
Re fatigue, you're building fitness hopefully that and good nutrition choices , good sleep etc will help. Be fair to your self. You still have employment stress. And regarding the impact of fatigue....I have broken brain ......and being tired is more impactful frankly.
TBH, it does feel a bit like whinging when others have more pressing problems. And as I said, the doctor effectively told me to stop wallowing and pull myself together so this is me doing that.
As it says on our wall at work: life is short so tell someone that you love them. However shout it at them in German because life is also confusing and stressful.0
