Hope everything's going to plan, CK.

Italy first, Bulgaria 2nd, Armenia third.

It's just been such amazing week. Currently stuck in the final press conference, but after last year, silver is perfect!

I have a Bulgarian friend. Given that they didn't even enter the main contest, she'll be over the moon at 2nd in the juniors.

How's she feeling now? Voice held up ok?

Spotted this. Knew about the Amazon Black Friday deals, but not the others...

I expect michaels will tell me that this is what's in Black Friday for Dummies, mind. I'm not exactly the expert shopper hereabout.

I think there are more and more every year - AIUI it started with Amazon and has infliltrated elsewhere.

Yes (searches for link, will find in one moment to watch back for you)

I'm on the wrong side of press room to see properly, but she seems good.

I love roasted beetroot. I do usually eat it from a tray on my lap, but with a plastic apron on in case of slippage ... :o

I love roasted beetroot too. Actually I planted (then have neglected) some beetroot - should really have a look at it and either replant or harvest (or get rid).

One of my favourite pics from my recent hol is of my parents wearing plastic bibs. They surprised us and ordered the most expensive thing on the menu (some seafood extravaganza). They look giddy drunk, but we'd not had a drop to drink at that point. We were just having a lot of fun :)

Do you separate the slices before freezing? I'd worry that they'd stick together otherwise.

I've found that mostly they just "snap off" once you get hold of the edge of a slice and pull it away. Otherwise, if that didn't happen, an edge of a knife inserted and twisted a little would break them up.

Something on my wishlist has come up on freecycle, contacted the giver to ask a couple of questions.... it's a filing cabinet, but they've not said if it's lockable/got a key. Although, thinking about it, for free, do I care? It's about 9 miles away. Awaiting their response.

There must be some unwritten rule that requires people to lose the keys to filing cabinets.

Anybody else watching Channel 4 - looking at TV programmes we watched in the 70s and how shocking they are to today's viewers.

e.g. children's programmes where windy the miller got drunk and fell asleep; the puppets in Thunderbirds smoking and drinking; comedy programmes groping girls for a laugh, several instances where rape was brought into the joke, girls stripping off for a swim in cigar ads, Benny Hill's topless nubile girls at 8pm as there was no watershed.

Caught the last 10 post-X Factor minutes after seeing your post. Interesting idea for a programme.

Next week is 'How was Britishness tackled' i.e. how racist was tv in the 70s.

We have a double birthday tomorrow. Two of our children were born on 16 November, 5 years apart. So, DW has banished me from the kitchen, so she can make a birthday cake for one and a birthday pavlova for the other. I'm sadly not allowed to help.
