I like beet borscht, very occasionally. I'm not that keen on borscht that's like minestrone with the life cooked out out of it. Or minestrone generally really. . But.....there are odd ones out that are delicious.0

Erm ... :cool:so if you make it you have to eat it all.
Indeed£5 from an old school ironmonger rather than the £10+ elsewhere. I expect that what I bought has been hanging up in that shop for at least a decade. Was just what I was looking for though!
We've got an award-winning hardware/ironmonger shop in my local parade of shops. If they don't have it, it's not worth having. :T0 -

Bake cakes that improve with keeping.
Often almond cakes do. Or fruit cakes.0 -

I expect michaels will tell me that this is what's in Black Friday for Dummies, mind. I'm not exactly the expert shopper hereabout. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Is there much difference between fresh pasta and dried? We normally have dried. Tinned seems all wrong to me, as it is bound to be waterlogged and overcooked.
I occasionally buy fresh ravioli but never manage to cook it just right - I don't trust the middles to have cooked through, and it ends up soggy / split.lostinrates wrote: »Roasting them isn't so bad, but I wouldn't want to try eating them on my lap rather than at a table.
I love roasted beetroot. I do usually eat it from a tray on my lap, but with a plastic apron on in case of slippage ...We buy sliced bread, so can freeze it and just take out what we need.
Do you separate the slices before freezing? I'd worry that they'd stick together otherwise.0 -

As long as the drawers open and close and it isn't locked shut with a missing key, you should be onto a winner. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? I don't think mine has any awards to it's name, but when I asked for help as there didn't seem to be any packs with long enough spindles (I'd been carrying around the broken set in my bag), the assistant said her boss wasn't around so she'd open up a pack to see what it was like.
It was adjustable - so she sold the pack straight away0 -
