    I've been Money Tipped!
And we're dragged back to beakers....

The "take a while to grow" is what's making me think it's probably not the best choice.

    )

You cannot have your cake and eat it:D

If its fast growing it will remain so, you have to go out and 'garden' it.

Its its slow growing you might not have to do anything ever, but need to be patient or buy bigger.

That's really the only option you get!

I recently had my motor insurance renewal premium notification from the Co-op. It came to £740.70. I checked the premium against their online quotation system, and that gave me a quotation for £325. I have been a customer of the Co-op now for around 30 years, and I had not realised the extent to which they have been milking their established client base. I am not a happy bunny, and I have asked them to investigate whether I have been overcharged for the last 10 years.

I can only suggest that it is worth double-checking your insurance premiums.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

I would have expected you to be more 'MSE-on-the-ball' in this matter, GDB. :naughty:
You're right of course, it's always worth double checking.
I have absolutely no loyalty to car insurance companies. The cheapest gets my custom. £180 fully comp for my 2-litre petrol old banger, I'm not complaining.:money:

Swinton wanted just over £1200 renewal for my old car.

The new one is same as the old one, just 2 years newer and in different colour/very slightly different spec, and I've paid £700ish.

This is also taking into account that I've had two non-fault accidents in the last year (both in the old car)

Lunch toady was two cans of pepsi, at 4.30pm.........I know it's JESC week!

I'm not a gardener but I think that for plants that will grow from cuttings you dip them in a hormone that encourages them to set roots to hugely increase the chances of them 'setting' (no idea what the proper word is).

The problem when you're dealing with experts is that for some of them the difference between a 55% and 56% chance of success is hugely important whereas for the rest of us the gap is more like 0% to 50% because we get the basic stuff wrong too.

I had some hormonal rooting stuff once, bought on a whim. It bloody well works! Although I have no clue about gardening, I had great success getting cuttings to sprout.

I have been with admiral group for the last few years - they persistently over charge. If you put your details into a price comparison website the admiral brand you're with won't quote vs. Your number plate, but stupidly all the other brands will - eg if you are with elephant then admiral and bell will quote to you. Always at least 30% cheaper. If you phone up they'll give you what they quoted but they must be making millions from people who don't do that. A ludicrous state of affairs but I suppose a bit like having to switch bak accounts each year...

My PM box now has a little space. Although since the NP who tried to PM me today is one of the people who has my actual email address, that might be more straightforward. :)
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

This year I'm with Sheila's Wheels. I feel like I lost another chunk of my self respect with all the uber pink girlyness, but my previous insurer (admiral) couldn't match them so off I went.

You're welcome any time. I've only not invited you because

If you want some pre-grown holly, you'd be welcome to dig up mine - as I said, I don't really like them!

I know I'm welcome round yours. I've already breached social etiquette by inviting myself round once, I'm perfectly capable of a repeat offence ;)

As you said, when the days are longer and the weather is nicer sounds like a good idea. Not bothered by how much furniture you do or don't have :)

Called in at Aldi on my way home tonight. No insulating tape (as far as I could tell... there was a lot of 'stuff'). Did spot some bamboo clothing and thought of LIR/ FIR - though I'm not sure Aldi says 'Happy Christmas my dearest'...
