Spent over an hour in the dental chair this afternoon. For second Thursday. 2 more to go. Reconstructive dentistry. Not a barrel of laughs, but dentist very kind and gentle hands.
I told him about my nightmare stuff with front tooth veneers when had the temporary veneers took off    - told back then didn't need anaesthesia, tooth's dead, but it was worst pain I ever had in my life
- and I've given birth twice. I'd put childbirth at a 9, but that dentistry thing was at least 11 (out of 10)
Told that he would never take off prosthesis (? think that's what he might have said) without pain control.
I was so scared about it all as next week or one after I have to have veneers renewed as one front tooth is splitting and veneers loosening. Feeling much less scared now.
And I trust this dentist - as much as I trusted Nice Lady Dentist who is on maternity leave.
Certainly he's doing a great job on building my teeth up.
Anyone near Liverpool who has need of teeth reconstruction I'd recommend him, PM me for name. I just get on Denplan... I imagine what I pay will shoot up next time get yearly payment thing! :rotfl:
To be honest I feel blessed to have a tooth reconstruction specialist as my dentist! :j0 -

It's not ouch now - it *was* around 20 or more years ago.
Now my main problem is keeping mouth open wide for long enuff as jaw muscles start spasming (sp?) and I get a bit scared I might bite nice dentist's fingers just cos jaw goes chomp!
:rotfl:
Basically I'm feeling a happy bunny when it comes to the people looking after my toothipegs now. I'm glad that I won't have to have that person all those years ago ever have to touch my teeth again.
Thanks for your kind thought though, CK. :T0 -
Happy birthday CK.
The weather here is utterly glorious. 39C and sunny with a gentle breeze. No idea why I got really homesick last night then.0 -
Happy birthday CK!

What a lovely lunch. I went and sat under a wild olive tree in the local botanical gardens and ate seasonal fruits and some cheese. Then had a snooze listening to a football podcast. Lovely.0

39C! That's a bit too warm for me. In fact, I think I would hate it.
I still think of temperatures in Fahrenheit. So, 60 is shirtsleeve weather, 70 is pleasantly warm, 80 is hot, and anything above 85 is too hot to do anything. 39C is 102F, which beats the UK record by a couple of degrees. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
