    It's those superhero tendencies :)

I'm no superhero, I'm really, really not, but I won't stand by and watch a man beat his wife ever.

This bloke was older than me and I reckon if I'd pinched him he'd have cried. I'd react the same way if it was Ali (not that Ali would treat a woman like that I'm sure). If you don't stand up to these $@#@#ers then who will?

It's wet; it's VERY windy. Nowhere to go. No incentive to find somewhere to go. That's the trouble with England - poor weather and nowhere to go unless you're spending money/shopping.

Car booting doesn't appeal - and that's your lot for Saturdays isn't it. No point driving a 40 mile round trip, to pay for parking/entry, to trudge around a muddy field in the cold/wet/wind.

The weather here is lovely; wonderful. Warm and sunny and lovely. We're still in Spring until 1st Dec but the weather thinks that it's summer.:T

Ali, ex world champ, is in a dreadful state. He wouldn't put up a lot of resistance right now.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

We have the polar opposite here. Well, not exactly polar, but not nice either. Wet, rainy, windy. Yesterday though I was very happy as something that never happens to me happened. I drove to work in absolutely driving rain. There's no parking at work, so I walk into town to avoid parking charges... I was dreading this. Just as I pulled up in car, a little crack of blue opened between the big grey rain clouds, and my path (and only my path) was bathed in sunshine. I said thank you to God when I got in as it was pretty amazing.

These days are good for museums, nt houses, wet weather gear walking....very bracing, organising type jobs in the house, and curling up with a movie or a book.

We're going to move a buddleia and see if the ash tree is ready to move.

    Exceeding first world query.

Last year waitrose in London did two Heston salmons gin and juniper and lap song souchang. You could get the latter out here, but I don't like it.

The gin you cannot, but it did like it. I can find barely any reference to the former on Internet, but the latter s in shops again.

Can any London based or mYbe ova do shopping NPs tell me if gin and juniper is being offered this year again?

Gen, when I arrived at work yesterday I did some book buying. Became aware of the work of Dale Pinnock. His website is pretty interesting. He always wanted to be a dietician, and has studied this to Masters level. He has written a series of cook books aimed at people with heart problems, cancer, diabetes, gastric trouble etc.

While reading, I was thinking how you could tie this in to your own business. Not changing what you are planning, but using it as an add on. For example , promoting the meals that you ate while going through radio etc and saying that you found they helped you. I got to thinking this, partly because you mentioned not enjoying eating when you were ill, you have the skills to alleviate that for others. Also because you've mentioned the diabetes epidemic in Sydney before.

It could be an interesting niche to carve for which you can use your existing menu plans, but say, offering a brown rice alternative to reduce the GI... an added benefit to tasty meals, not the sole reason to buy, if that makes sense.

I think his website is https://www.dalepinnock.com

Also, I'm now furry. I need to trim something into shape, then update my mospace.
What style would the NP recommend?

To be fair I feel your pain, having shaved the goat (no that's not a euphemism) this year in aid of charity fundraising for Movember, the selection of my new manly mustachioed facial fuzz is proving to be quite the conundrum.

I think I'll go for something like this.....

.... just to spite the colleague who guilt tripped us all into signing up. :)

    Bat one, definitely!

    How lovely for you. :)

It's grey, cold, wet and windy here too. I have school work to do this morning, but I think I will do it sitting up in bed wrapped up in a duvet and a fleece blanket.

I had an interesting afternoon. I was waiting at a pedestrian crossing and the cars stopped. I noticed that a couple were arguing in a car. The woman opened the door to get out after the man raised his fists.

I walked up to the car and told the man to stop at which point he drove off so I called the police. I hope they shove their tazer up his Aris.

    I'm impressed. :T
I know that if the situation's entrenched then this is a slim hope, but all the same I hope that what you did helps the woman to realise that decent men don't think it's OK to start hitting when your partner doesn't agree with you, so therefore what is happening to her is not something she should accept.

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
