So have you contacted the ICO yet? They are the ones with the power to prosecute.
    Je suis Charlie.
  • Wiganwuk. You say they sent you a copy of the contract. Just out of interests sake can you perhaps find out if you know a fellow gym member, (who of course will remain anonymous) would also happen to have been sent a copy and (remaining anonymous of course) would scan and upload it then pass you the link.

IPC's Response for what its worth - minus my details. For reference - the information pack with the other persons personal details was sent on 8th October :-

Thank you for your enquiry to the Independent Parking Committee (IPC).

Vehicle Control Services Ltd agreed to abide by our Code of Practice on the 29th September 2014. The IPC can only investigate complaints from matters on or after this date. We believe that your charge was issued while Vehicle Control Services Ltd were members of the British Parking Association (BPA), as such they had agreed to abide by their Code of Practice. Therefore, you should direct your complaint to the BPA who should be able to assist you further.

If you believe that Vehicle Control Services Ltd have breached the Data Protection Act, we recommend contacting the Information Commissioners Office (ICO). Their contact details can be found at: http://ico.org.uk/

We hope this helps to clarify the position.

    Yours sincerely

    The IPC

so IPC & BPA dont want to know at all - what is the point of them? Ill be sending both their emails to ICO

Well ive had the read receipt from the DVLA but not any reply as of yet and an automatic reply from ICO. Ive had a quick read of part of the 1998 Data protection act - there is definately an infringement.
As i said ,i will see if i can cause a few ripples at VCS before i lose all interest.
