VCS Vehicle Control Services , Wigan Gym / Popla

If you will look back at my previous threads , you will see i recieved 5 parking tickets for just using my gym.
Firstly ive had an email off xercise4less telling me to ignore any further communication with VCS as the PCNs are now void. Ive tried getting confirmation from VCS but they dont like dealing with you in person for some reason.
Anyway yesterday i had an Evidence pack come through. Ive opened it up and you have to see it to believe it. It contains a few bits relating to me...and the rest is some poor girl who i know nothing about. Including her car registration , her address etc..

So what im saying is...they have obviously f***ed this up..but surely they are breaking a confidentiality law..? Who do i report it to?

DVLA (in case it was them who doled out the details that have been incorrectly released to you) and the Information Commissioner's Office.

My gut says send a copy to the lady herself, but the trouble is there are a lot of very thick people about and there's every chance that she would blame you instead of feeling righteous indignation towards VCS.

ive thought about contacting her but as you say im not sure about the reaction.
How unbelievable is it that their evidence included letters to both me and her but only pics of her car.
Im actually almost disappointed that xercise4less are telling us to ignore any contact.
There is a contract included that is between xercise4less & VCS - ive read it and get the feeling that Xercise4less has paid the £10 charge to cancel all tickets

DollyDee ..i think there are a lot of members involved for Xercise4less to step in. so she could be anyone.
I did get a personal apology of them and a goodwill gesture...but its sad that it took going to the press to get a reaction

No tell the girl, and complain to the Data Protection Commissioner, there has been a massive breach of her rights..

A couple of years ago Natwest card services did a similar thing. I informed the chap whose details they had sent me and he went after them for compo. I also went after them for harassment, (they 'phoned me twice at home demanding payment), complained to the Ombudsmen, and got £100 compo, I had asked for £500 so I am not crowing, but every little helps.

I have her email address so might compose a carefully worded email - she should know really!!

Maybe i should Email the CEO of Xercise4less to tell him the names , adresses of their members are being sent to complete strangers?

Personally, I would send her an email because she probably needs the evidence pack for her POPLA appeal.

Or send it back to VCS but keep your stuff.

its an attachement on an email. I dont want to talk to VCS - very unpleasant if you can somehow get through.

Im interested to see if there are any confidentiality laws broken
