Hi
Think to note whe signing up with BT. If you opt to pay line rental up front and they increase the prices during the term of the contact they will not credit you with any remaining line rental if you exercise your right to terminate the contract because of the increase in prices. They do not tell you this when you sign up.

You may find you have to chase it, but that's another story..
Its also worth pointing out that if you are leaving because of a price increase you do not have to return or pay for the home hub router.

Signed up for broadband and mobile which both included offers of a £75 MasterCard Reward and £50 Amazon voucher respectively but neither have been issued by BT after 6months of complaints.
They say I did not order via bt.com but when I send my bt.com order confirmation they literally then say but the system says it wasn't. Incredible.
Is this enough of a breach of terms and conditions for me to cancel?0 -
Hi all, this is to let you know that bt,Sky, plusnet & talktalk have formed a conglomerate, that if you leave anyone to go elsewhere, there is a leaving fee of £30. Kiss my touche.
Had a 1 year paid up front cable deal, with what I thought was a separate broadband as well, their phone call. Went to renew OCT, broadband is 18 mths, really. Why would you buy 1 yr & 18 mths, well apart from a fiddle.
They now want £10.50 per month + £30 to leave, £930 -

Hi,
Anyone know how to claim the cashback promoted on MSE?
BT's T's & C's don't mention MSE as a valid promotee, despite MSE providing a link.
The only one that seems valid for the period I'm claiming for (up to 26/10/17) is Broadband Choices.
I'd really like to see a response from MSE please?
Edit: What I really need to know is, should I enter MSE where BT ask what site I went through (which they don't say is eligible) or Broadband Choices?
Do MSE monitor these forums? I'm not getting any response?
Thanks.0 -
How will the BT contract work when you have Broadband on a 18 month contract and the Phone Line on 12 months. Would it not mean that you have to renew the Phone Line after the 12 months and therefore be stuck in a contract loop?0

No, the LR would then carry on as a rolling monthly contract albeit at full price.0
