    Original recipe PM'd.

Hummus without tahini is like a boiled egg without salt *bleargh* - you may just as well buy a ready made pot of budget/saver/essentials from the supermarket. Utterly pointless. And, sadly, I'm coming to the conclusion that with tinned stuff the price we pay actually reflects the quality of the stuff in it - I can taste the difference which surprises me because I smoked for 30 years. If you're buying dried, the smaller they are, the better the quality, apparently - but if anyone knows better, let me know. We're spoilt for choice for Asian and Chinese supermarkets here, which is where I buy them, and all my spices.

Keep pulse blitzing and testing until you get the texture you want. You'll never buy the ready made stuff again.
    Better is good enough.

Me again.....shopping done, £90 decluttered, village meeting attended. The fog just won't lift today but I think I just need to wrap up well and then take the dogs for their second walk and find my GUAG which has just gone over lunch.

Need to put more washing in machine before I go and get what's already in there on the airer. Once back, I'll make the moussaka.

Got distracted - washing sorted out and airing cupboard now tidy. Still procrastinating though - having a cuppa and a mince pie before heading out with the dogs.

Wow, first mince pie of the season, jazee?

Can't believe the time! But I guess we went out for a few hours. I have vacced and dusted the LR though, and bedding from spare room washed. It's almost dry so might be able to go straight back on the bed. I've also a bit of uniform ironing to do, although I did it last Sunday in the LR watching the dancing results, so that could be a plan.

Popped for milk on the way home and spent £20  although we did get a stash of yoghurts and some fish and garlic bread for supper. Oh and biscuits - I must hide these from myself!

Just having a brew then I might tackle the craft drawers... Might take the crayons into nursery - DD prefers pens (of course she does, they make more mess) so crayons are just taking up room.

This all came after a lovely family gathering where DS1 was joking about having OCD, first time ever he has been brave enough to laugh about this with other people and I was really proud of him.
Awww, bless him! MH issues really are the pits - and I do think sometimes a gentle self-deprecating joke is a good way to go. More power to him!:T

I was really cross yesterday - I'd changed my audiologist appointment because they tried to book me in with a bloke I've never met, when I always see the lady; I had to take the 14:00 slot, and was told it'd be with the lady; got there yesterday, "Oh she's off sick; it's the bloke - didn't anyone let you know?" No, they didn't - and they have Mr LW's mobile number, which they've rung before when she's gone sick, so I don't know why they didn't bother. There's also a note on my file to say I will only see the lady. Anyways, it's now rescheduled (again!!) for 25th Oct. I have to have a beep test this time, and there is no way in hell I'm having a strange bloke shut me in a tiny little room. Not happening, not in this lifetime.
Originally I was meant to go on 2nd Aug; lady was off sick - they wanted to reschedule for 9th Aug - no, Mr LW was having his hernia done on 5th and wouldn't be well enough to push the wheelchair.... rescheduled for mid Sept; got there and it was the bloke on duty, so I freaked and said it'd have to be rescheduled, hence the appointment yesterday.
Oh well, maybe next time I'll be lucky.....

pigpen Thank you so much! I have admired this so many times. Never found the pattern - or, to be truthful, had the time when my three were littlies, but will definitely make it now. Then choose a worthy recipient. :D

One load of washing done, one Sunday lunch cooked and washed up, and one walk round the field completed.

    Knitting time!:D:D

I've done a garden job I wasn't looking forward to planting out and potting on a massive number of foxgloves, was nowhere near as bad as i though, one lot popped on a friend's doorstep for her to do, one lot to take to one of my paid jobs, the rest I'm hoping will grow on fine, there are ample and I'll plant out in the spring and if they all grow have more to give away/for paid gardens.

DH managed to get a couple of shirts and a pair of jeans in town, this is a success as he is fussierthan I am.

Going to get the washing in and then get DS3 (who is in big trouble) to help make a crumble whilst I cook dinner.

Bit of ironing to do tonight.
