Deco hillarious about the mog and the mooncup, the flowers couldn't be from your Dad?

DW emptied and mogs fed. Lots of jobs I could get on with today but none I fancy so will either feel virtuous for doing one later or have done very little!

    Good morning.

I'm out today helping at a Mind, Body and Spirit festival. Will have a quick whizz round before I go.

Ninja cat has been fed and watered.

    Have a good day everyone.

DS1 had a bit of a meltdown last night, havent had one for ages. Whats awful, without boring you with the details, is that he is being excluded from doing something that he wants to do, and should be able to do, because of his health. We are doing everything we can to sort this out but getting nowhere.

A lot of organisations spout a load of cr*p about disability rights but don't actually act on what they say. Sorry, I feel a bit teary this morning.

This all came after a lovely family gathering where DS1 was joking about having OCD, first time ever he has been brave enough to laugh about this with other people and I was really proud of him.

So I am a bit all over the place but I just have to gather myself together and be strong and supportive for him. Just hope he wakes up feeling OK.

Yorkshirelass, I hope things gets sorted out with DS1 soon.

    So today:

I've minced lamb ready to make moussaka later (apparently DH loves this, first I knew about it in nearly 30 years!)

    I need to:
    WUDUPA
    Bath
    Walk dogs
    Do big shop
    Go to village event
    Make moussaka

    Have a great day everyone.
Spend less now, work less later.

    Morning!

LR floor to be attended to today. Dust bunnies <eek>. Was also thinking I might colour my hair, but perhaps it can wait a few days. We are at a kiddies party at 11. Think I will dunk the kids this morning, DDs hair is a bit wild. Hopefully I can tame it for the party with a bit of conditioner.

Also want to strip the spare bed. Think we are back to normal tomorrow with granny taking over the swimming lesson run and staying over too, so an early start possible on Tuesday for me.

So they are my two rooms today - living room and spare room.

I wonder if the flowers will remain a mystery deco or someone will come forward? Lovely that you took them to your nan and cousin. I don't think I could find my grandparents grave straight off either (they are together).

I have a huge spot on my shoulder... :(

Found some flowers on my doorstep on Thursday morning, there was no note.

I think Dusty may be right - definitely worth asking, I'd have thought and it might be progress.

Valli, I've been worrying about Nigella's online version of hummus. The quantities are very different in it, rather than in How to Eat which is the version I use. 300g dried chickpeas isn't right if you're going to follow the quantities from the linky I put in. However, all is not lost. When I make it, each batch is different and the two ingredients that I've found make a world of difference are putting the cumin in, and then the salt. Then I'd vary the lemon juice - and I use bottled now because it's easily available and I don't end up with furry green lemons in the fruit bowl. I've been asked so many times for the recipe, so I've got in on the computer - if you want I can PM you the original.
    Better is good enough.

Actually, I was replacing the second mooncup that the devil kitten destroyed. My first one, I was due a replacement. The second one, I thought was safe on the shelf in the shower room. How wrong I was! I've had cats all my life, he's definitely the most naughty one I've had.

Washing hung up on indoor line.

    To do:

    HHI
    change bedding
Hetty LR, hallway, stairs and landing.

I don't think the flowers are from my Dad. I've not received any communication that they are from him. He's also not a hearts and flowers type of person. I don't normally put flowers in graves, but really didn't know what to do with them. They wouldn't have been cheap either. But I was very uncomfortable keeping them and found it a bit creepy. Oh well, they're gone now.

    Have a good Sunday all

pigpen Yes, that is the leaf pattern one. Must track down a pattern.

    Dustykitten Thank you!

We had a brilliant time at the Knitting and Stitching Show. It was very busy and crowded, and yet again, we didn't manage to see everything. DD insisted I bought the throw kit that I loved last time, didn't buy, and regretted it - I've been saving for it since! Long term project, will keep me busy for a while. It's shades of duck egg blue, cream and a little pink, different textures of yarns. Hard bit will be choosing the design, as it comes with four options.

I have sock yarn, patterns for baby blankets, magazine trial subscription with lovely goodie bag, and teddy bear kit. DD and friend found lovely tweedy yarn and bought that and snood patterns. I have to teach friend how to knit first though! Sister loved a Latvian mitten kit, but decided not to get it - DD distracted her later, and I sneaked back and bought it for her for Christmas. I wish I'd bought their sock kit too, but not sure I'm expert enough to do complicated pattern in the round.

Plenty of knitting to do over the winter! May have to fly less ;)

I would appreciate this. Incidentally I also have a can of chickpeas; I 've only made it once before, without Tahini, and I wasn't pleased with the texture; maybe dried chickpeas are the way to go.

    I am going baby-cuddling later:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

I have planted some winter pansies in a small, fancy terracotta trough I was given and also the bay tree I bought last week (that's gone in the garden). Done some vigorous slashing and throwing in the garden and cleaned out Benny Bunny
