LW I have NEVER managed to put on a bra 'properly' - they have always been front fastened and rotated. In the event of 'excitement' it is necessary for the other party to be involved in removal of said lingerie. Or out the room. HTH ;)

Bras. The more comfortable they are, the more I know they need replacing. I've never done the fiddling and twiddling around the back thing - they get hooked up where I can see them, twirled and then the straps hauled up. The last and final bit that gets overlooked when I'm in a hurry - settle the puppies individually in their nests. Lift and relax - the result on cleavage is miraculous.
I used to be able to get my hands rounbd to the middle of my back with no trouble (having hyper-mobile elbows helped I think) but haven't been able to do this for a long time now. I can't twiddle bras with decent elastic because my fingers and wrists are simply too painful; hence the use of the ancient and venerable ones when Mr LW was AWOL (well, I didn't give him permission to get ill!!)
Jazee the "t-shirt" type ones are no use tome unfortunately, as I need help to put on t-shirts.:( Plus, I don't feel "right" without my underwires.;)

When I eventually (um.... how many years hence??:D ) get around to buying new, I shall have to try and source some actual front-fastening bras. With underwires. And without padding. Fussy, ain't I?;)

Time for Jack's walkies..... laters, folks.;)

Jazee glad the job is enjoyable

LW how did you get on with your paws?

I've cut the grass out front and tidied up a large bush, wheelie bin full already. Got some snow stuff down frm the loft as DS1 has gone over the snowdome and DS3 wants to have a few snowboarding lessons.

    Mog feeding next.

My garage is neat and swept! And the conservatory is tidy, but I need to dust / vac and have a sort through the craft drawers. They are overflowing.

Today has been very productive! I've done an online shop to come next Friday, which will do for the "live in babysitters" at the weekend, improve my store cupboard for winter and see us through the crazy week following.

Bras. I can't be doing without my underwires either. The trouble is trying to find the right size that isn't padded. I have my own padding, IYKWIM ;)

Thanks for asking - I have to have ultrasound scans done, plus some sort of tests where they put electrodes on and basically give you electric shocks  which I'm told are not at all pleasant at the time, but will give further information on what's happening - and there's nothing to penetrate the skin (so won't trigger my needle phobia). Meanwhile, I'm to not use the splints unless I really really need to (ie the opposite of what I'd been told before - I was previously told off for refusing to wear them in bed  ), and I have some exercises to do to try and strengthen the muscles. Once we have an idea of what's going on, there's a high probability (and we hope) I'll be suitable for tailored therapy, thus avoiding surgery.
Mr LW has to check with the health plan provider to ensure they'll authorise all this (a formality, but one has to follow protocol), and I'm scheduled for the ultrasound on 29th October.

They hurt like b*88ery today - probably at least in part due to having been poked around yesterday - but it looks like this Dr is actually interested to find a way to help, not just tell me to "go away and live with it". :o

The downside is I've been very shaky and nervy today, and keep feeling sick - the fallout from having to see a male Dr - but if I eventually get some actual relief, I'll live with that.

Absolutely shattered today as we had a night out last night. Even though kiddies didn't get to bed until past midnight, they still got me up at 7am, so cracked on and did some ironing, made everyone breakfast, woke hubby up, got kids ready and went to take hubby and boys to get their hair cut. Then took ds1 to a party. When we got back hubby went for a nap, then had a cuppa, did 20 mins of jobs, then needed another sit down. Then went out with his mates! I don't like to moan but it really makes me cross when he just mooches around the house, not seeing the jobs. After deciding that we are going to put the house on the market, buying some storage crates and saying the house needed decluttering and a few DIY jobs doing, I expected him to be a bit more proactive. Anyway moan over!
Today I have cleared out the cupboard under the stairs, steam cleaned the bathroom carpet, unloaded and loaded the dw, sorted through a load of paperwork and thrown two bags of recycling, cleared and decluttered the study and, put some stuff in the garage. Hubby back in an hour, so going to advertise a couple of bits on the selling pages and then finish the ironing!

Filled out the application for College again.. once again I am struggling to find a referee.. I feel silly asking people and it says not a relative or friend.. but surely if they know me well enough to give an accurate reference then they would be a friend? .. obviously my 'employers' are related to me :p .. I have no one from college previously I could use, I used my dressmaking tutor last time I think. So I'm a bit stuck really.. :(

Piggers What about your son's specialist nurse? Could she give you one? When I applied for college a few years ago. A family friend wrote my reference. She had known me all my life but wasn't my friend. Colleges must be used to this situation. X

  • Hello all

    DW on and emptied
    Christmas cake baked
    Ginger fruit loaves made
    BM on and bread cooling

Went into b0ots to buy a new mooncup as devil kitten destroyed the last one! Nothing is safe when he's about. Went into the vets to get more flea treatments and booked drama queen in for her booster, devil kitten is booked in to be neutered on the same day.

Found some flowers on my doorstep on Thursday morning, there was no note. I don't believe they were for me and didn't feel comfortable with keeping them so I went and put them on my nan's grave. Took me ages to find it. I also put a flower on my cousin's grave too.

Right off to annoy the cats by putting the flea treatment on them.

    Goodnight all

    Deco x
