    hi all...
well it cold here and threatening to rain ... but hasn't yet !
its the big beaulieu auto jumble here this weekend so invaded by campervans etc ... promised the sun will be out for the weekend so should be good for them

I decided in my wisdom to take rose out for a ride before she went back to school . so we caught and tacked up her cob and set off on the riverside walk behind our fields . its 2 miles long and ends up in the village .... no signs saying no "riding" :D there so off we went . she is now solo riding [no lead reins] and I walked and then jogged so she could have a trot ... got to the village , "parked" in the road and got an ice cream then set off back ... walk/jog/walk/jog ...
moral of the story > I have now reminded myself that 4 miles of WJWJ at my age is STUPID  :rotfl::rotfl:

I accidentally left my tall freezer door ajar and came down to find my utility room floor awash and food thoroughly thawed !! had to chuck away lots [didn't realise how much was packed into each drawer ! ] went today to replace it all ... £170
its so dark so early now !! seemed to happen in a matter of days /weeks ...

It must have happened to me 70 times, but I still have a surprise every year!:rotfl:

We're about ready to drop too. The Outlaws have departed and the sheep have arrived......:D

We also have an almost complete garden arch thingy..... and it's OK. :j

It would be fair to say it's caused much gnashing of teeth and convoluted 'negotiations,' rivalling those surrounding the Backstop, but at least the tallest/widest family member can pass through it unhindered and we all know what it is.:silenced:

It's not Sam, but Sam's dad. Like you, we think he discovered it early, which is good news, but he still feels rubbish! (Sorry!:o) Hopefully. the antibiotics will do the trick for both of you. :)

Woke up to rain. Having glanced at the river yesterday and seen the state of it, this can only be good. Our river is very different from those like the one we walked up recently, which comes off the moors. Moorland rivers have huge water reserves in the peat bogs, but ours comes from lower land between the moors, much of it better drained than it once was.:(

I've got a bit of damp in mine Dave, and that's it. Difficult to see through the weed, but there's pretty much nothing flowing out of the end. I'm glad I kept the weed as at least it'll protect whatever is in there and hopefully help it survive.

All the best Lucielle - I had one and the anti-biotics (double dose) must have sorted it. Worth taking something to protect the gut whilst taking them - wish I had at the time but didn't think to.

Rain rain go away - yesterday was okay but back to low cloud and torrential rain again.

We were forecast cloud all day today, so it's been sunny. :D

Yesterday, when everyone was having torrential rain nearby, including where I'd gone shopping, up here we had an hour early on and then just misty stuff.

New lambs are quite pretty (as sheep go!:rotfl:) and not overly skittish.

Best news of all, plumber's here! :j

Tick bites don't half fester on and sometimes seem to take an age to go down & they seem to itch madly for weeks & weeks.

I've taken anti-histamines in the past & sometimes used hydrocortisone cream in an attempt to calm them down.
