been very cool but dry here .. not had a frost tho,

I think we've finally seen the last of the frost, but it's too dry again and I'm struggling to sustain plantings I've done in the garden hedgerow. The river cams are all showing a dismal picture too.

And 'our' swallows are practically non existent. :cry:There are more evident in the village, but those birds may not overwinter in the same place and/or face identical dangers. Apparently, trapping in Egypt is a large part of the problem.

Looking out for the house martins now....:undecided

We've had snow the last few days so the tops are white. It's been very cold with an icy wind, but is lovely today. Weather very unsettled.
Hardly doing anything outside as you need full thermals on.

My prayers have been answered, twice. :j

We've had enough rain for now, and no one bid against me on the spare wheel from a local eBayer.... £20 for an item that normally goes at £50-60. :D
Of course, I shouldn't have bought a Honda with a VW spare wheel in the first place.......:o

Sure you made a sound investment there. Your spare should be worth £60 to £80...clear profit!

All cars should come with the wrong spare, all upgraded by one category.... except one sole Bugatti... One (rich) sad buyer, many millions of happy ones...

Things trundle on. Shearing at the weekend. Stuff grows, Sun shines. Not that much spare time to post, unfortunately. :D

I suspect the VW wheel actually fits as its tyre is the right size, but my garage chaps weren't bright enough to just try it while they had the car!

Anyway, it has a brand new Michelin on it, so I'll pop it in the barn and maybe swap it with one of the rear Hu-Flung-Dung Ditchfinders later on, if we keep the old bus. Probably will, as SWMBO likes it and hasn't mentioned getting rid of the van lately....:D

    You just predicted my weekend...:T
Having left mid-week, Outlaws all descended again on Friday evening, suddenly hell-bent on installing a toilet in the barn, which has a septic tank with only the caravan connected to it.:undecided

Anyway, we now have a flush bog in there, and with the prospect of another in the house by the end of the month, we can look forward to a loo for every weekday and a mobile one for weekends!:rotfl:
