Rummer how lovely to have you back.
LIR - I was going to pop a santa hat on Zebedee the black ram for my cards this year, but felt that would be very wrong, but really rather amusing....0 -
Alfie Donald the Postie comes down now - he got !!!!ed off when he couldn't drive down with parcels & would phone me on his mobile to meet him at the road side. Or would sling them in my blue bin & leave a message.
I bought a black glossie, marble topped island unit with ceramic inset bowl today. I am having a mid life crisis. It was such a snip I just went - give it to choille NOW, when I saw it.0 -
Morning.:) Nice to see you back in the fold, Rummer.
I wish I could find a unit or two, not a whole kitchen, but enough for the utility. I don't even need the sink. However, I expect there will be lots on the Bay in New Year....and by then I won't have a van full of insulation! :rotfl:

afternoon all,
love the festive pic of your dog LIR.
I Bought a little Christmas jacket for a dog, I was going to put it on one of the piglets and take a pic, but the piglets are too big now lol... think I got a pair of doggy antlers up in work, might put them on a piglet and take some pics..
very cold here, also raining, but the sky has turned a funny colour, so don't know if we will have the odd flake of snow..
went to livestock market today, but didn't buy anything.. weaners were silly high money, and big pigs were silly low prices..
but did have a lovely Christmas dinner and crimbo pudding in there canteen.. really nice food there...
wonder if FK is ok wasn't here OH home for good now??
right a quick scoot around the interweb and then back to the ranch...Work to live= not live to work0 -
I'm a bit more mobile again today, so made a fairly essential run to the tip. Headed toward the general waste skip and the guy said 'what's that in that sack? Bit of carpet? Cannot go in here love, in that skip over there' I gingerly open the bag, and he says, er yeah, that would go in here.
Wish I'd had strength to bury it in the back garden.0 -
Really white with snow on the hills & really cold day.
OH had a docs appointment so went with him - we seem to have been here there & everywhere for doc stuff lately.
He applied for a blue badge in June, but hasn't heard a peep. He's in a lot pain walking & it's so hard to watch him but he won't use a stick or 'give in'. His pain should ease a bit when his iron levels reduce.
Dave - Gumtree is great for kitchen units. I got the main ones on there - brand new, still boxed for £100. Shaker style, but I've painted the doors.
Does anyone think that pale grey matt paint on the main units that will run down one wall will look okay with a glossy black island unit? I'm so excited about this latest aquisition it's shocking.0 -
LIR - Hope you didn't hit him too hard. Hope that you make progress & feel better soon.
The cold is a ceaser upper. Seems to tense me up. Cease me up a fair bit.0
