Dave you suit red - really look stunning. If I was a man I'd fancy you!
That's my main outfit, but I have others. This year I have about 7 costume changes and it's too much. DW has to be there to do tyhem all, when she isn't helping the Sheriff into and out of his horse.... (she built a horse around an old bear costume, so the Sheriff's real legs are the back legs of the horse and......well it gets a bit complicated after that!)

    Here's the whole cast:

Marvellous - what a colourful bunch. People have been so busy doing all the outfits. I hope it' s a great success on the night - I'm sure it will be. Good that younger people are in it too.

Really lovely day here - Out doors trying to tidy up a bit but I seem very slow.

There is a lot of Muir burn going on the hill on the other side of the Loch was ablaze last night & seems quite burnt this morning. There's palls of smoke further over so many are taking advantage of the dry spell - supposed to rain tonight so that will put any out that are smouldering away. I can smell it outside.

It should be done before April 6th I think for ground nesting birds. So it's good they are doing it early. I always wonder about it - I've seen them get out of control and that is scary - get into the peat in the ground and burn for weeks.

Coming home yesterday we saw two dead mountain hares at the sides of the road in their white jackets - alas it's the only ones I've ever seen. We stopped to have a look, disturb the crows from their supper.

I think I've sold my tup Wee Fella.

We seem to be on a roll at the moment, with three sheep popping out offspring all at the same time. Popped in to stick a pizza on, as it might be a long night. Two have already popped one, and looks like one each to go, and one is rumbling around in the corner, having a think as to whether popping offspring, or demanding food, is her priority.

    Pizza is mine! Must dash!

The one I said was too wide to fit through the doors any more: triplets!!! Another has a single (so far, think that's it for her), another is starting labour, so it will be a long night. All are healthy and feeding already. I'll add a photo tomorrow - if I wake up!

Edit to add: if you think Dave has big hooters in his pics, you ain't seen nuffunk yet! ;)

That's lovely Dafty - I miss lambing now that you are talking about it. I feel all broody for lambs.

But - they are not getting good prices here for idigenous breeds so I have taken the sensible decision not to have them breeding - I think.

Here you go... huge cuteness of photos of extended family. What clever girls, especially Mimi, with triplets! These are minutes old, already up and trying to (work out how to) feed!

    One (Kim)

    Two (Kate)

    Three!!! (Mimi)

All doing well - including the triplets. Need showers and zzzzz for all

What sort of sheep are they?

Will you need to take the third one off her?

Raining here & fire is out on the hill - thankfully.

Neighbour isn't good and they await the dr - think he sat in the chair all night. He's very large and his legs are very swollen. I don't know what will happen, but it is sort of turning into a crisis.

Norfolk Horns. They manage twins fine, and we'll leave the triplets on, but supplement feeding for all three. Weights are monitored daily, so we will pick up any slow feeder. She's a stunningly attentive mum, and has surplus milk, albeit a shortage of teet!

They are all a good weight at the moment, and all fed well overnight. We know, as we were up for almost all of it! ;)

They look like a creamy coloured Hebredian - they'll be hardy - I think the old breeds are less bother all in all. They get on with it.

Beautiful - I feel all lamb broody now!

    Lovely sheep, Dafty. :)

I'm fond of the Southdowns here, but I suppose it's a case of liking what I'm familiar with.

Show went well last night and we even finished on time, due to the two writers deleting their own scenes for the greater good. Well, it wouldn't have been politic to delete anyone else's! :rotfl:

Glorious day here. Light wind and 12c. We've been tidying the main garden. I'm hoping DW can get back into the gardening again. We'll have to see how it goes....
