Hi everyone, I'm actually on holiday in the Caribbean but have been reading the weather is rather cold over there. I'm thinking of having a look on real seeds and ordering my chillis and some nice tomatoes whilst I'm here so they will be there when I get back.
Dave my cat gets very freaked by carrier bags too but also adores getting himself into small spaces so will sometimes risk a bag! We seem to have adopted some of the local cats whilst here, they're very thin. So I'm more than happy to get them chicken and fish from the food stalls and feed them up lol

I think a post from the Caribbean is probably a first for this thread! :rotfl:

Here it's peeing-down, but about 11C, which is pretty mild, and being objective, we need much more rain to fill up the aquifers and reservoirs.

We've had a reply from the MD of the conservatory co. While not exactly combative, he doesn't so much as apologise for the dodgy installation, just says it will be 'put right.' There is nothing else, just a load of "this has never happened before" and "I'm not sure where we go from here." Twaddle.

Well, I know what i want as a miniimum, and as it isn't being addressed, I guess we just have to up the anti now and bring in the GGF to mediate. I'm surprised he hasn't thought of them; his company being members! ;)

How do you feel about it Dave? I would be quite annoyed by the lack of apology. Not in the same league I realise but I had a poor manicure done before filming on holiday, so left a review on Facebook. The salon replied and said they were sorry I had chipped my nail...I never mentioned a chip I said the gel hadn't been applied properly and was lifting. I don't think companies like to accept responsibility nowadays!

I must admit, I'm so underwhelmed by his response, I'm tempted to write back, apologising for not being clear in my last letter and asking when they're going to take it away.

After all the bother with BT and the way they treat you as if you are the problem and the Argos fridge freezer carry on - took three fridge freezers and something 6 weeks before we got one that wasn't bashed, I don't think you get customer service anymore - just some annoying teenager talking in riddles about 'your journey with us......' when it's a phone line we are talking about here. They even phoned at 9.30pm to annoy me even more. No, they get away with not treating the customer with respect as it's cheaper not to. I can't believe how rubbish big companies are.

Totally Panto-ed out at the moment, having done 3 nights of rehearsing in a row, but now we have a reprieve for good behaviour......until Sunday afternoon. :j

It's a bit of a complex one this year, with 12 scene changes, but it'll be the same old crew, struggling to remember their lines and wishing 1/2 term wasn't so early as it is. None of the kids will get to bed before 22.30, so it can't be in a school week

Miserable weather, with little progress on any front.:(

DW's in less pain following the last injection, but enforced rest with just an exercise regime means that she can't work out of doors, even if she didn't have costumes to do. She got the Sheriff as well as my 3 outfits, but he can only pop in occasionally for fitting/rehearsing as he's currently working in Aberdeen! (Sure is lawless in them thar parts! :rotfl:)

Can someone with animal experience guide me over Izzy who has taken to not going out much since the plastic bag incident? It would be understandable as the drizzle isn't very inviting, but she has now done 3 poos in the bath!

OK, easy to clean-up, but how do I react? She wasn't even the one that got tangled-up! Lila who did, is back on top form, apparently without a care in the world.......

I had great respect today from my Indian guide, hired through the auspices of BT, when I discovered that my on-line bill had Mr Dog's address on it.

But respect is one thing, being able to spell the name of our place is another.....

It got to the stage of me saying, "Havent you got one of those lists that comes up when you key-in the post code?

    He had.

So why wasn't he using it??:(

I don't know what to suggest about Izzy, Dave?? It sounds like she's lost a bit of confidence/security about doing her business outside. I'm presuming she does normally do it outside and not in a litter tray in the house?? The only thing I can think of is to place a litter tray outside the bathroom (door shut so she can't get in to use the bath!!). Hopefully she will use it, so next time move it nearer to the cat flap (again I'm presuming you have one) and keep doing that until eventually the tray is outside.

Hi Dave, I've no experience of this, but I have heard good reports of something called Feliway for nervous cats. I've no idea if it's appropriate in this case, but I guess anything might be worth a try?

Failing that, how about some heavy duty cat nip mice? ;) Not all cats are susceptible to cat nip, but if Izzy is that might help too... Not that I want to encourage your cats in a feline drug habit of course! :rotfl:

Feliway normally works (vet-wife gets it occasionally), but it's pricey, and has no effect on some moggies. Cat nip is good, love and gentle coaxing even better. Cat will get over it, especially when it's not so cold and wet out, and the wood burner and sofa are less appealing!
